  1. managing volumes and sharing is not as simple as on DSM, I don't want to worry about this part, I have my PVEs to have fun with.
  2. ok, that bothers me because I already have a cluster with two proxmox hosts. I'm doing gpu passthrough for a windows vm on one and on the second it's disabled to be able to mount the gpu on an lxc Plex container, except that I want redundancy in the event of a host failure on the container part LXC, except that the GPU passthrough will no longer work on the VM... That's why, I would like to have my administration VM, 3D modeling on my 3rd host. (the “NAS”)
  3. Oh ok, the DS918+ is compatible to mount a storage from usb HDD ? support nvme disk as internal storage ? Arf... if VMM is not compatible, I will go to proxmox with DSM VM but I prefer with a DSM on a baremetal... the gpu passthrough is only for container ?
  4. Hello, I have a DS3622XS+ with DSM 7.2.1-69057 Update 3, installed with Arc Loader, It running on a mini pc with I5 7500T and I need to deploy a Windows VM with GPU passthrough. Is it possible ? When the driver are installed (if it's compatible), how to tell windows vm to use intel hd graphics 630. Thanks !
  5. it's a software raid, the support doesn't matter as long as they have the same volume. Everything important on my NAS is backed up to Onedrive. I'll see, otherwise I would connect the 3 SSDs via USB so that all 3 of them are like HDDs.
  6. Ok, quite simply because I use a mini pc, an hp probook g3 which only has a 2.5 and nvme slot. I will thinking for go to OpenMediaVault.
  7. Thanks for your reply, but I think it's not possible to mixed up different type of SSD, one SSD in SATA, one in NVME and one SSD attach with usb (it's see has HDD from DSM).
  8. Hello, I was using an Xpenology NAS under Arc Loader on an ESXI (I5 12400 + 80 Gb of RAM) and I migrated the NAS in baremetal mode to an HP Probook G3 mini PC, I mounted my 2 old 4 TB hard drives via USB. The goal is to migrate everything to SSD. I had a Raid 1 of 2 4TB HDDs. I removed an HDD that I was thinking of replacing with a 2.5" 4TB SSD to reform the RAID except that it is not possible to mix two different types of disks hard (hdd, ssd...), is there a possibility to do this? I was planning to do an F1 raid with an internal 2.5" SSD, 1 nvme SSD and a 2.5" SSD connected via USB, is it possible to pass everything off as SSDs of the same type or even HDD for create a single storage pool. Xpenology is installed with the DS918+ model Thanks
  9. Hello, This loader is very cool. Good job I just have one big problem for me. The loader is installed on VM on ESXI in 7.0.3. I have installed the firmware and DSM 7.1.1 it's working fine but I can't create a snapshot on the VM so I can't do backup with VEEAM. Anyone have a fix for this ? I don't undestand why it's not working... I just select the disk 0:0 for the backup, just for save the NAS (loader, dsm...) I have try, when I create a VM and import the VDMK loader on it, without even starting the vm, we can no longer create a snapshot. It's normal, I can't boot on the loader if the VM use UEFI ? Thanks
