Well....wether your NAS is seen on a LAN after the install (10mins countdown) it depends also on which NIC (LAN card) do you have! Intel NICs are more preferable then others...1.04b also has good coverage for realtek NICs..... In other case you have to do that "hocus-pocus" with extra drivers (extra/lzma....extra/lzma2) added to tge 2nd partition (that 30mb one)

That is because you can not update to 6.2.3 with 1.02b loader....!

Try to load it with Win32diskimager instead... https://win32diskimager.download/

I dont want to open new topic......because I have exactly the same problem as OP, just with different motherboard/setup. MSI H81M-P33 Intel G3220 Pentium (its Haswell) Realtek NIC (8111G) I have instaled also additional Intel PCI-E NIC (EXPI9301CTBLK) <----- I have tought that I have realtek driver problem.... I have red everything available regarding how to resolve "no network after reboot". 1st tried ds3615 1.03b/6.2.3....no synology detected on your lan.....tried the same with extra/lzma...the same result..extra/lzma + zlmage+rd.gz....tried the same combination but with 6.2.2....no LAN 2nd ds918+ 1.04b/6.2.3.....I can see DS918 but not after reboot.....tried extra/extra2....the same.......tried extra/extra + zlimage/rd.gz....no lan....tried everything mentioned with 6.2.2....the same! DS918+ works every time except there is no conectivity after reboot! Tested buletproof combination......ds3615/6.1.7/1.02b.......it worked flawlessly....so it seems that with every other combination I get NIC driver problem! Is there anythting else I can do? ds918+ would be superb......or 3615 with 6.2.3 (for safety reasons)...or am I stucked with 6.1.7 DS3615? Tnx in advance

Status update! Resloved my issue with BIOS update (latest is v. 5.19).......wich added USB boot option ;) Its 2010-ish PC.......from around the time when not all PCs had that option "per se"! Works ok with DSM 6.2.3 U3 & DS3615xs!

Hey, been lurking that forum for a while.....red almost all topics regarding "how to install".....but to no avail! I am unable to set up Xpenology on my HP. I was experimenting with almost all DS3615xs loaders (Juns versions)....1.03b, 1.02......tried 6.2.3, 6.2 to 6.1.7 <----- the most bullet proof version.....as said on this forum! DS3615xs......since I have i3 550 processor and it seems to be the closest to my setup (regarding Synology specs) My motherboard is MS 7613 v1.1 : https://support.hp.com/id-en/document/c02014355 My setup: 4Gb of RAM i3 550 Realtek RTL8111DL Lan card (NIC) I have no problems with how to make bootable loader.....got into GUI every time......find synology finds my "server"......but after I upload *.pat image and "server" reboots I get blinking cursor. I came the longest with DSM 5.2 loader.....server was operational...came into its interface....could set up its discs etc...till its first reboot Than blank screen again. I dont know anymore what to do (beside switching back on OMV). I did not experiment with any extra.izma etc..., dont even know if I need it? Is my HP cursed one? One of those PCs which refuse to cooperate no matter what you throw at them? Or am I "missing" something in a process? Many thanks!
