  1. Please note that DS3622xs+ already contains an mlx4 driver so if the problematic driver is removed from the integrated module pack it should fix the current issue, I built the loader before the integrated module pack and I had no issues such as this, by just disabling the card and reenabling it after the compilation process. Please note that if I left the card enabled, the outcome was as is now, a non working system. Also please note that the driver contained in the DS3622xs+ is more recent.

What is your loader build command?
Did you build the latest version of pocopico's TCRP using the command method?
Or did you use the WEB UI builder?

I use cli, my loader commands are

    ./rploader.sh update now

    ./rploader.sh fullupgrade now

    ./rploader.sh serialgen DS3622xs+

    ./rploader.sh identifyusb now

    ./rploader.sh satamap now

    ./rploader.sh build ds3622xsp-7.2.0-64561

  3. Hi guys, I have several servers running mellanox connect-x 3 and the custom driver contained in the loader breaks system, before I just disabled the card slot before loader compilation so that custom driver did not install and just used the mlx4 driver included in DSM, however now the custom driver is pushed into loader and I can't seem to be able to remove it, any help on this ? This is on DSM3622xs, thanks in advance.

  4. You can upgrade directly to 7.1, I did it and zero issues with current loader state

That's also correct what Peter wrote, but since you already have U3 installed on your Synology, you can only migrate to DS3622xs+ 7.0.1-42218U3 and that doesn't exist "officially" in TC !! That's your problem and that's why I would first change the firmware in your place that is available in TC on the DS918 and on the DS3622 and that would be either 7.1-42621 or 7.1-42661 and only then migrate the system to DS3622!

I hope I was able to explain your little problem in a reasonably understandable way

  5. Updates are blocked on purpose at redpill level, first its not good for custom synology to phone home and second and probably most importantly is that some smart users will configure automatic updates and will get their systems bricked.

On my N54L, it seems to have a problem with USB drivers (or other, I'm not an expert)

    • the control panel doesn't find my bluetooth.
    • And it doesn't find my inverter (eaton ellipse pro 650).

  7. It seems that some drivers are incompatible with 7.1, I had issues updating a Microserver Gen8 with a mellanox Connext x 3 shutting down after installation, so I disabled the card, built the loader so that it does not include the mellanox driver, updated and then reenabled the card, after this the system booted up with no issues

  8. This happens when the PAT download is interrupted, you need to clean and start again

  9. All steps are necessary for any install just to be safe, and yes you need to answer yes to any question asked, or there is no point in running the command yes ?

  10. I have Microserver gen8 running on ds3622xs+ 7.1 with no issues, however my cpu is core i3, also there is one step less which I used to compile redpill for gen8

ie omit this step while building loader

    ./rploader.sh ext broadwellnk-7.1.0-42661 add https://github.com/pocopico/redpill-load/raw/master/redpill-misc/rpext-index.json

  11. Don't thank me, as I wrote earlier, pocopico updated the redpill-load, which made this possible, I was just fixing my broken Microserver install, so its pocopico you should be thanking, I didn't do anything

    Thanks to you.

Since yesterday, I try to update...

Just a little thing, why my volume 1 is made with disk 12 and 13 ? Why not 1 et 2?

@pocopico, I have deleted my VM, recreated it and followed indications of @djvas335.  Thanks to you too.

  12. Nop, I actually migrated directly from DS3615xs 7.0.1, Built the loader and then installed the PAT, my install was actually broken as I updated one of my data servers and it started to shutdown after boot, however latest redpill update fixed it, I just rebuilt the loader and it fixed the shutdown issue

Did you do the upgrade to 7.1 inside DSM running on 7.0.1 and then reboot into the TC build mode ?
