Yes. Moved the cable to the HBA - IT Mode. Removed disks and built the loader. Once done shutdown the server, added the disks and did the migration.
Just the disk order is wrong but i can live with that for now.
Hi @asaf
I got it working
my LSI 9211-4i that is flashed as an LSI 9211-8i with and 16TB SAS Seagate 12GB/s Disk is working.
I pulled out my 6TB WD Drive and added the 16TB and the system found it and started the Auto Repiar on my RAID 5 setup. so yes this works
I have changed power supply fan with Noctua and reduce noise like a botfly. Some friends change 12 cm fan and need iLO mod with options to modify rpm and in same cases don’t works with Noctua or other fans. Original With Noctua
I was using ARPL - arpl/releases/tag/v1.1-beta2a from this post
which is linked in
and ARPL v1.1-beta2a seems like old package.
But anyway, @Vodka2014 thank you very much for your help, you saved my ass! I have managed to successfully complete migration to 7.2.0 and run my NAS + most of the settings are in place.
First of all when 9207 arrived I replaced it's thermal paste.
It's a bit tricky because the original one will only come out by (gently) scraping it off.
The radiator is held on the chip by two screws.
I used the holes on the radiator which almost prerfectly are matching the holes on the fan to mount the fan + radiator on the card using longer screws compensating for the depth of the fan.
It looks like that.
I provided some improvised insulation between the nuts and the board to protect it from physical and electrical damage.
I used Noctua NF-A4x20 PWM which is a static pressure optimised fan.
With just the original radiator 9207 was 70+ °C hot on idle.
With Noctua mounted in it was ~35 °C.
According to the documentation temperature range for the LSI SAS 9207-8i HBA operation is 0 °C to 55 °C (32 °F to 131 °F) (dry bulb).
SA6400 is an amd model and does not include an intel core graphics card. Jim developed 10-13 generation intel core graphics cards for sa6400. And it is still being optimized, arpl-i18n will not integrate them without the author's permission. You can ask jim for details.
