Fenix46 Posted October 14, 2023 Share #2 Posted October 14, 2023 Hi You must need to ability the direct boot for DSM, boot in loader, go in advanced menu and make "true" the boot directly DSM.. then it's works
Nirgun Posted November 3, 2023 Author Share #3 Posted November 3, 2023 Thanks Fenix46. I tried with Direct DSM Boot = true but still no luck finding it using local ip address or synology web assistant.
rojoone2 Posted November 4, 2023 Share #4 Posted November 4, 2023 (edited) Which platform are you trying to build? Have you tried building the NAS with 7.1 and upgrading from inside the GUI? A lot of users have had success doing it that way. Edited November 4, 2023 by rojoone2
Nirgun Posted November 5, 2023 Author Share #5 Posted November 5, 2023 I tried upgrading the NAS from 7.1 to 7.2 from inside the GUI. Upgrade seemed to go through fine and the screen started the 10 minutes count down and it did not reboot into the DSM after that. I can not find it on the local network anymore. rojoone2 Posted November 8, 2023 Share #7 Posted November 8, 2023 Have a look at this thread where is is stated that some users found success by switching to direct boot: https://xpenology.com/forum/topic/69563-cant-find-nas-on-find-synology/#comment-448837 Its for says its on newer hardware, but it may also work for you. As a last resort, you may want to try building a DS3622xs+, that works with most hardware.
Nirgun Posted November 9, 2023 Author Share #8 Posted November 9, 2023 Thanks for all your help. I tried both DS2422+ and DS3622xs+ with arpl-i18n v23.8.7 but got the following error with DSM 7.2. arpl-i18n v23.8.7 and DSM 7.1 with DS2422+ worked ok. Nirgun Posted November 10, 2023 Author Share #11 Posted November 10, 2023 Thank you guys for your help. I tried installing 7.2 using 3622xs+ with m-shell. The loader build went successfully however I could not find synology on the local network. Tried about half an hour with no luck. I have tried all boot loaders building 7.2 with ds3622xs+, DS2522 and other platforms. Tried Direct boot into dsm option. Also tried updating from 7.1 to 7.2. Nothing has worked so far. I guess my hardware is not compatible with dsm 7.2.

Trabalhador Anonimo Posted December 28, 2023 Share #21 Posted December 28, 2023 (edited) Yesterday I made a test with M5A78L-M /BR, with Phenom II X4 940. I installed SA6400 and I could make VM to work. It seams that you need to use DSM for AMD to virtualize with AMD CPU. I tried with 3622, but VM did not started.
