How do you want to plug your hardware (what kind of ?) to achieve what ? What kind of VM ? Linux ? Synology ?? What is your host ? ESXi ? Proxmox ? Synology (then you want to use VMM ??) ? As VMM is an official Synology package, I don't expect it handle non genuine hardware / pci devices. If you really need/want running virtual machines, and if your hardware is powerful enough, you should consider running a Proxmox/ESXi hypervisor.
