Develop and refine the DS2422+ loader

Recommended Posts

Tinycore M shell DS2422+ model additional version released.

The new model DS2422+ can be built from the m shell.

A modified TC version was developed to make jumkey's DS2422+ easier for users to utilize.

Because it is a version that has not been officially added to pocopico's TC yet.

It can only be built from within the m shell.

Please update the new version with the command below in Tc linux.
./my.sh
./myv.sh

- M shell DS2422+ does not support Jot Mode yet. ( Only Jun Mode is supported. )

- For disk and nmve port mapping method, jumkey's dynamic dtc mapping ext was used.

- DS2422+ is the same AMD v1000 platform as DS1621+, So it shares ext with DS1621+.

- DS1621+ only has 6 bays, while DS2422+ supports 12 bays like Capture.

- Tested on Baremetal, proxmox and VirtualBox.

In the m shell, jumkey and poco options are deprecated.

You can use it like below to build.
./my.sh DS2422+J

In the VM, use it as below and add the necessary drivers first.

When asked if you want to clean redpill-load in the middle, you should never type y.

./myv.sh DS2422+J

I tested on baremetal with Lenovo ThinkCentre Edge71 Intel i3 2120 and works with DSM 7.1-42661 Update 2.

Detect DS2422xs+, download pat, install and after 10 minutes ip from Synology Assistant or wirelles network watcher.

You don't have to wait for all the 10 minutes displayed on the screen.

On bare metal, the loader latency of the jumkey DTC method is typically between 2 minutes and 2 minutes and 30 seconds.

It takes a little longer when DSM is installed for the first time or when migration is in progress.

I have tried two times:

- First, I installed with latest download and no detect ip with Synology Assistant and wireless network watcher.

- Second, I installed with DSM_DS2422+_42661.pat and get detect IP in less 3 minutes.

In my case I always try the first method.

My favorite method is to write the MAC address to the router and use a static IP.

Even if I do this, I will most likely get a ping response within 3 minutes.

DSM does not often perform clean disk installations, but attempts migration installations.
