Deliberation in choosing a loader

I'm debating which Loader to choose for the following hardware:
Motherboard: P8H61-M LX
CPU: Intel Core i3-2120 (3.30 GHz)
Memory: 8192 MB (I plan to upgrade to 16 GB)

If you want a DSM7 on bare metal, you may want to choose at the DS3622xs+. I works with most hardware and is quite stable.

That's what I would do if I already had a DSM 6.x.x build on a N36L...

Peter Suh Has written a comprehensive guide that's here in the forum. There has been some minor changes since the initial post,

but the steps on the first page for the DS3622xs+ remains the go to for most.

You are limited to only the DS3622xs+ which is the most current for dsm7.1 and runs on that hardware. The other models require 4th intel (haswell) or better, so your choice is easy.

 

Use and read flyrides tutorial. He explains everything and you will be up and running in no time.

Try it with the DS3622xs+.
In the past, my first Xpenology had similar specifications to yours.
At the time, I used DS3615xs,
A better DS3622xs+ is available now.

According to this manual, it is written that Hot Plug is supported.
Turn on Hot Plug of 4 SataPorts in BIOS
Please remove the additionally installed external SATA from the PCI slot first.
In addition, HDD adjusts the Sataportmap value according to the number actually installed. Please do not skip Sata port 1 and install it sequentially.

It would be best to use my m shell.
Beginners sometimes use sudo, which should not be used.
Another problem is that there is no proper clean.
Download and decompress my.sh on Tc linux as shown below
Then run my.sh like below.
All sequences and processes are processed at once and the loader will be built.

First of all thank you very much for your kind help

 

1. The HOT Plug was already enabled originally, and the 4 drives are also enabled in the BIOS, I received the error message after I built the file when there were no HD drives at all, I realized I was wrong so I connected everything properly including Hot Plug activation and I still get the message .

2. The order of the commands I entered after connecting to PUTTY are:

 ./rploader.sh update now

./rploader.sh fullupgrade now

./rploader.sh serialgen DS3622xs +

./rploader.sh identifyusb now

./rploader.sh satamap now
 ./rploader.sh build broadwellnk-7.1.0-42661

./rploader.sh clean now; rm -rf / mnt / sdb3 / auxfiles; rm -rf / home / tc / custom-module; ./rploader.sh backup now;

 

Then I did a boot to the computer and chose the first option

Did I miss something in the process?

In fact with the specs of my computer I was able to run the system with Jun's loader v1.02b only, 1.03 did not work in any way, I do not know if there is a connection but currently also with RedPill it does not work ...

This is the specification of my computer
And this is my Motherboard (I switched to this computer)




Any help will be appreciated

Unfortunately after dozens of attempts in an attempt to overcome the error message but to no avail I was forced to abandon and switch to TrueNAS

When you do the satamap command does it say you have more than one SATA controller?

I never do the highlighted command.. I like to keep those files.. But I do the backup now command.

 

Very sorry to hear you couldn't get your box going. I have had much success with HP motherboards and DSM 7.

Right now I have a Z440 running DVA3221 with an Intel 4 port NIC and a Nvidia GPU.

HP Z230 running DS3622xs+ with no extra devices

HP ProDesk Mini running DS920+

I hope you are satisfied with TrueNAS.

DSM shows 12 HDD support. My board has 4 sata ports. 

Can I add PCI Express to SATA addon board to increase the sata ports ?
