deesnow Posted October 20, 2015 #1 Posted October 20, 2015 Hi, On my diskstation there was a disk failure do the SHR array became degraded. When I tried to remove the worng one I was not sure which is the wrong disk so just pluged back all off them, and boot the diskstation again. Unfortunately after the reboot I did not see any HDD in the Storage Manager, but in in the Info Center. Intersting thing: the shares are reachable Any Idea how to fix it?
Guest Posted October 20, 2015 #2 Posted October 20, 2015 Stoarge manegr and overview can you repair paritition? and can you make a smart dump?
deesnow Posted October 22, 2015 Author #3 Posted October 22, 2015 Unfortunately in storage manager there is not any disk. That is the problem
sbv3000 Posted October 22, 2015 #4 Posted October 22, 2015 check the storage manager HDDs not the disk group, they are probably there. I had a similar problem with a couple of failed drives in a 1 disk tolerant array and somehow SHR/DSM is able to make shares and data available even though the volume has crashed. I was able to copy my data and then replaced the disks but had to delete the volume and create
deesnow Posted October 23, 2015 Author #5 Posted October 23, 2015 In my other Nas, all screen in storage manager has information. Under the volume i see it belong to DiskGroup1, In DiskGroup1 I see the HDDs, and under the HDDs menu i see the Disks. Unfortunately in the wrong NAS, there is nothing in those menus.
sbv3000 Posted October 24, 2015 #6 Posted October 24, 2015 sounds like a very corrupt dsm partition/config. If you can see your shares then I can imagine the only option is to copy your data to another device and then reinstall and recreate your volumes etc
deesnow Posted October 25, 2015 Author #7 Posted October 25, 2015 Yes, it seems reinstall is necessary. Sent from Tapatalk
