port forwarding not working with the sky hub sr102

hi all can someone help me i have been on the phone to sky for over a hour just for the ports not to work i have a hp micro server n54l running on synology dsm 5.0 update 5 that i got from http://cyanlabs.net/ and i have tried using the server it self to open the ports via upnp buit the sky hub is not in the list so i typed in the port on the sky hub and set it up as sky told me to but when i ping the external ip for the port i just keep getting that its closed

You won't be able to ping your external IP as most ISP's block ping. Try a port checker ie http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j& ... 7201,d.ZWU
