_francesco_ Posted January 31, 2019 Share #1 Posted January 31, 2019 Hi to all, i tried to install DSM on intel d510mo mobo without success. MOBO use the Realtek 8111 onboard nic. What i've done: Downloaded jun's loader 1.04b from With xpenology tool 1.4.2: - Mounted the jun's bootloader image (15mb) with osfmount (disabled read only partition flag) - Edited the VID, PID of the usb key with usb device key in the grub.cfg with notepad++ - Grabbed a valid serial from a 918+ original synology (i tried also with the default serial). - Saved grub.cfg and dismont all & exit - flashed image with win32diskimage (no luck also with rufus) Boot is ok but when load the dsm 918+ 23739 Failed to install the file. The file is probably corrupt. (13) at 57 % of the process. (i know that file is corrupt error is due to bad PID or VID... but i've checked twice) Loaded also the DSM 918+ 23824... no luck. Tried something like 5 different usb keys with the same error (with properly configured vid and pid each time) With bootloader 1.03b (ds3615xs) cannot find the station (find.synology.com give me no result, the same in the router dhcp page). Even if in in the second partition (30mb) file extra.lzma contains drivers for this nic ( 8168.ko) With bootloader 1.02b (ds3615xs) all is working ok with no problem at all. Can you help me? _francesco_ Posted February 1, 2019 Author Share #2 Posted February 1, 2019 (edited) Good and bad news: Good news: all is ok with loader 1.03b ds3615xs disabling the uefi boot in the bios. Loaded the DSM_DS3615xs_23739.pat and as you can see it's working. Bad news: update to 23924 is not working and got no ip from the diskstation... as said here: Edited February 1, 2019 by _francesco_
_francesco_ Posted February 1, 2019 Author Share #3 Posted February 1, 2019 ok some test again... 1.04b is not working in d510mo either UEFI or not from the biossettings . At 57% says The file is probably corrupt. (13). Is there a way to connect a serial cable (like null modem or other else) to see why it stops at 57%?? bearcat Posted February 1, 2019 Share #4 Posted February 1, 2019 Is your Atom CPU compatible with the 1.04b 8 918+ combo?
_francesco_ Posted February 2, 2019 Author Share #5 Posted February 2, 2019 what do you mean for compatible? atom d510 is pinetrail if i'm not wrong....
Dfds Posted February 2, 2019 Share #6 Posted February 2, 2019 What Bearcat is trying to say is that your d510 pinetrail cpu is too old to run under the 1.04b 918+ combo as it requires a much newer cpu. If you have 6.2 running with 1.03b stick with it.
_francesco_ Posted February 2, 2019 Author Share #7 Posted February 2, 2019 (edited) Ok got it... D510 is too old. To use the last dsm 23824 i need to install Intel nic? Otherwise it doesn't work.... Correct? Another question... There are diskstation that use d510 atom cpu... It is possible to use this pat file? It is possible to mod jun's loader to work with them? I wish to install 6.2 same as You - so the module 1.03b, but the question is which one exactly should I use to make it work. What bios version You have and how did You set it up to make it boot the 1.03b. Mine doesnt boot this version. Big thanks
