Я только что обновил мать Asus P5K проц C2D E8400 SataPortMap не указывал ничего. Чем это чревато? У меня винт один. Добавил лишь серийник, 2 мака и VID/PID. Стала без проблем.

Hey guys, For those who are asking about the setting for "SataPortMap=" I many times have asked about how to set the value for SataPortMap, but I received no responses and I understand it's hard to tell. After a couple days with several experiments, here is the experience I want to share. I built my new DSM 6.0 Nas on the mobo Asrock QC5000-itx that has 4 onboard sata ports. I also attached anothe Syba sata card that has 4 ports. So, totally I will have 8 sata ports to have 8 HDDs connected. And as a normal thinking, I would set SataPortMap=44, right? Wrong! My first experience is before you ask please watch, watch, and watch. When I check 4 sata ports on the mobo, I found it says SATA3_A0, SATA3_A1, SATA3_1, and SATA3_A2 see the picture (instead of SATA1, 2, 3, and 4 as usual) that drew my attention with a question why? Searched around I quickly found out 2 ports are controlled by AMD onboard chipset and the other two are controlled by ASMedia ASM1061. The next experience is but which chipset controls SATA3_A0, SATA3_A1, and which one controls SATA3_1, and SATA3_A2 I had no idea either. And therefore what would I set for SataPortMap? SataPortMap=224, SataPortMap=242, or SataPortMap=422? To save your time, please write down the serial number of each your HDDs with located port number. First, let's set SataPortMap=224, of course log on bios and make sure it recognizes all your HDDs there. Then once log on DSM, check S.M.A.R.T for serial numbers to find out which HDDs are seen together with port numbers. Trust me, now you understand your system and can set value for the grub parameter SataPortMap= correctly. Good luck.

I don't know what is the correct value for the grub parameter SataPortMap= for see disk 5, but I've tried different values without success For N54L use SataPortMap=5 or SataPortMap=6

SataPortMap=ABCDWhere A is how many ports on the first HDD/RAID Controller, B the second and so forth. On the Gen7 HP Microserver, the 1st controller is the onboard RAID (I believe). bonjour j'ai activé le 5eme port sata sur le HP Gen 8 en mettant tout simplement SataPortMap=5 -
Migrate successfully on HP N54l. But I can only see 4 HDD. I got 6 HDD. 4 connect to backplane. 1 esata and 1 dvd. for DSM 5 I just need to edit internalportcfg to 3f so all disk considered Internal. I try change SataPortMap to 6 and also 42 but another 2 still not detected.. Any Idea?

Hi, I can go from 5.1-5022 to 6.0.2 without making another update? I have an HP N40L with 6 HDD, the SataPortMap parameter must be 6 or 42? Thank

Salut, Je me suis laissé tenté par le chant des sirènes, j'ai fait la petite clé, et donc comme beaucoup au premier boot, j'ai plus de HDD. J'ai installé le systeme Syno sur un Dell OptiPlex 790 j'ai 4 HDD branchés sur SATA0, SATA1, SATA2, SATA3, du coup je voudrais être sure de pas faire de bétise pour configurer le fichier grub, j'ai mit 4 pour la valeur du SataPortMap Que devrais-je mettre? Merci pour ce super tuto et d'avance, pour votre aide! -

Avis aux amateurs: Le nouveau Loader v.1 de Jun implique pas mal de changements au tutoriel. Je le mettrais à jour lorsque j'aurais un moment. Entre temps pour ceux qui ont une machine qui marche avec un CPU INTEL vous pouvez utiliser le loader de Arcao v.2 qui marche très bien et où le tutoriel s'applique encore à lettre. Une fois le tutoriel mis à jour je supprimerais les anciens liens pour alléger le tuto. Si par contre vous avez une machine dont le CPU est AMD vous serez obligé d'utiliser le loader v.1 de Jun. Voici pour ceux qui n'ont pas peur de l'anglais les indications rédigées par Jun sur son OP >>> https://xpenology.com/forum/topic/6253-dsm-6xx-loader/?do=findComment&comment=54156 La différence entre les 2 loader reside essentiellement dans l'automatisation de la configuration de départ (vid/pid,SataPortMap,SN,MAC) mais avant tout l'intégration de la compatibilité avec les CPU AMD. Les deux loader intègrent normalement les meme drivers pour carte réseau donc question compatibilité de materiel je pense qu'il n'y pas de difference étant donné que Jun a intégré les drivers compilés par Tantor et Arcao. Si vous avez des questions sur le loader de Jun faites le moi savoir et j'essayerai de répondre si possible. Personnellement j'ai essayé le loader v.1 de Jun sur ma machine et il marche sans problèmes. -
Could there be any conflict if one would use the command line once thus editing /grub/grubenv and then edit the grub.cfg file manually with different data? Normally grub.cfg stores default configurations, and customization through grub command line interface will take precedence. I've tested your V.1 loader. All went smooth and is working fine so far. Didn't need to fiddle with SataPortMap= I did add set mac2= in the grub file although not sure that was necessary.

I want to update my USB key with the last version of this awesome bootloader. Previously I had removed the SataPortMap function (my NAS is working very well). With the new bootloader I see that this function is set to "1", do I need to delete it or modify it from the "set sata_args" line (I have 6 HDDs)? Thanks in advance!

En theorie, il faut avoir le port sata interne occupé. Si le port esata est reconnu comme un contrôleur supplémentaire, que le port sata interne est occupé et que vous avez 4 HDD sur en facade alors il faudrait mettre: SataPortMap=411 ou StaPortMap=141 (cela depend qui du port sata interne ou des 4 ports sata en facade est le contrôleur numero 1). Je ne peux pas le savoir n'ayant pas de HP n40l. Quand au loader, Jun v1 est le dernier en date avec un kernel patché et pas mal de nouveautés. Il supporte AMD aussi. Le seul inconvénient c'est qu'il n'as pas été testé autant que les loader précédents. Votre NL40L est un gen 7 ou gen 8? Si gen 7 alors vous n'avez pas le choix et ca doit etre celui de Jun. Si Gen 8 alors l'un ou l'autre mais mon commentaire précédent doit être prit en compte. Merci pour ces précisions mon HP n40l c'est un gen 7 comme tout le n36l et n54l je crois, les gen 8 sont les micro-serveur HP. Donc je prend le loader de Jun le v1 et pour les ports sata je vais regarder dans le bios pour avoir plus de précision. Par contre je suis en 5.1-5022 je peux passer en 6.0.2 directement ou je dois passer par la 5.2-XXXX ? Merci encore -

1ière étape: BACKUP des données et de la configuration. 2ième étape: je pense que à priori dans votre cas ça devrait être SataPortMap=4 Lire bien attentivement le tuto. Il n'est pas non plus mauvais de lire un peu le file de discussion principale créé par Jun. -

Pour le paramètre "sataportmap=" pour un HP n40l j'ai des interrogations car il y a une carte raid pour les 4 disques en façade un port sata interne et un e-sata externe donc j'aurais pensé mettre : Sataportmap=42 ou sataportmap=411 Vous en pensez quoi ? Autre question quel loader utilisé maintenant Jun v1 ou Arcao v2 Merci -

Salut à tous pour moi sur ma config pas de problème de migration. Juste le SataPortMap réglé sur 2. Au reboot de DSM j'ai du réparer la partition système de l'un des 2 HDD et fini par les maj des paquets et l'UPDATE 2. Pour un version dites NON STABLE pour moi mon nas fonctionne à merveille Un grand merci à Polanskiman, Jun, setsunakawa et tout les autres =) -
Jun, Does configuring grub (vid/pid, SataPortMAp=) through command line apply changes to grub.cfg file permanently? It is saved in /grub/grubenv file, so it is permanent, but in a seperate file, this is the grub's way.

Donc si j ai un DD sur le premier port et un sur le deuxième port je mets SataPortMap=11 ?

1 - Le parametre n'est pas hddsata= mais SataPortMap= 2 - les 2 hdd sont-ils branchés sur les ports sata 0 et 1 ou alors un des hdd est il sur un autre controleur? Pour plus d'info et de reponses regardez le tuto ici: viewtopic.php?f=13&t=21928#p75865

Recreated my boot USB flash drive for my my HP N40L Gen7 Microserver with this image. Very easy and workes well.From Arcao's Mega folder linked from THIS POST, I used the dsm6.0.2-8451/v2/jun-amd-baremetal-hybrid-uefibios-arcao-v2.zip file to flash a USB flash drive with the Win32 Disk Imager tool Used Flash Drive Information Extractor to get USB flash drive's VID & PID Updated grub.cfg (updated sn, mac1, vid & pid, and added SataPortMap & mac2.
