  1. I'm running v3.4 of APM and Power On configuration settings are on the second tab?

I have tried the poweron tab. As I matter of fact, I can make it shutdown on a schedule but not wake up. I think I'm doing it right.

  2. How can I schedule the automatic boot? I've schedule a shutdown and it works but automatic scheduled boot doesn't. I have activated Wol. I don't know why it doesn't work.

    Anybody who can help me?

    Thank you.

On my machine it is not possible as BIOS is not compatible. Not sure if any other mobo could work.

There is a thread on this forum mentioned a workaound to use another device to WOL wake up Xpenology. I'm on mobile now but you may do a search for the topic.

How can I know if it's compatible?

  3. I simply want the my xpenology netbook (samsung nc10) to boot on its own at scheduled time. Does it need another device to wake him up using sone kind of signal? I thought it could boot on its own. At least that's what I'd like. It's able to turn off on a scheduled time. And from I can enabled de WOL feature after some tweaking.

  4. I managed to activate Wol. Thank you. But I don't know hot to schedule an automatic boot. I've entered the aettings and activated it, but it does not work. However, scheduled shutdown does work.

    Any help?

    Thank you veru much.

  6. With the new xpenology bootloader you don't need to flash a Mac.

You only need to set a serial and Mac in the bootloader and you're done.

Currently on phone, will look tomorrow for a tutorial.

Really? No need to flash the mac address? Is that bootloader also available for 32bit systems? My netbook cpu is 32 bits.

I would really appreciate the tutorial. Thank you very much.

  7. Hi, could anybody help me flash the mac in my Samsung Nc10 netbook? I followed this guide http://xpenology.me/how-to-change-and-flash-mac/ with no luck. Once I boot into ms-dos and type in the command I get "error 040: no network interface found".

My netbook has a Marvel Yukon 88E8040 adapter. I have used the command yukonvod.exe and got that error. I even created a autoexec.bat but with no results. Isn't that Marvel model supported by the utility? Anyone succeded in flashing it?

    Thank you very much.

  8. It may seem a stupid topic but I don't know if my system/hdd hibernates. I know there are logsbut I don't know where to find or whether I have to enable. Could anybody tell me where to find it. Please, make it noob proof.

    Thank you.

  9. I'm new to xpenology. I've just set my old netbook with Nanoboot and Dsm 5.0.4493. It works fine, but WOL doesn't work. Apparently I need a valid mac and serial number. I'm not really interested in quickconnect and such, but if I manage to make it work I could enable or disable it at will.

So I'd like to know a working method. I've seen some but they are either outdated or confusing for me.

My netbook specs are: cpu atom n270 (32 bits), 2gb ram.

    Thank you.

  10. Thank you. I finally got it to work, but I can't make hibernation work. I've enabled itand my only app installed for the time being is photo station. Any ideas?

Sonething strange too is that I enabled WOL and automatically restart after power failure but when I click on apply, these option get unticked. Any ideas?

  11. Hello, I've tried to find info related to it but I'm unable to make it work. I have a Samsung Nc10 netbook on which I intend to install xpenology. Its cpu is Intel Atom N270. I have tried several versions with no success because its arquitecture is i686. I seemed to finally succeed with Nanoboot-x86-5.0.2.3-fat.

Then I used synology assistant and during the installation process it produces an error indicating problem with the router and the port 21 and 23 and telnet. I'm using Dsm_ds214play_4528.pat

Could you please help me solve the error? Or even better could you tell me the specific files for my hardware and where to find them, that's the links. I'm totally new to Nas and xpenology.

    Thank you very much.
