  1. I can't see your signature neither in my phone nor my computer. Would you post the link to Arc so that I can give it a try. Thanks.
  2. I have no idea about how to proceed, unless you mean ARPL. It's new to me. I thinknit's in beta phase. I succeeded with tcrp in another pc, but I'm having no luck on my j5005 nuc.
  3. Hi. My hardware is NUC7PJYH2 ( specs https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/products/sku/126137/intel-nuc-kit-nuc7pjyh/specifications.html ) I have created the boot image in the usb drive, but when I start the nuc the boot only shows: Loading linux Loading initramfs Booting Tinycore for lader creation That's as far as it goes. My device has a J5005. I tried different loader versions in github, all of them being 0.9.x.x I don't know if a 0.8.x.x would work. The only ones I can find in github are 0.9.x.x On another device with an 7th gen i5 I can continue and successfully test-installed dsm 7. The loader continues to boot, but on the j5005 I can''t, it gets stuck on those 3 lines I mentioned before. I have used several versions of TCRP with no success, both legacy and uefi. Any ideas on how to continue or why it gets stuck on those 3 lines? Thank you.
  4. In my lan I use ip address. Over the internet I my ddns domain. I rarely use DS File out of my Lan, so I could stop using Ds File app if necessary in case that solves the problem. About the verification option you mentioned, I'll give it a try. I'm just surprised that my friend, who has got the same hardware and dsm version, has no such ssl issues. Other apps like Ds Get https work fine and I can use https over the internet.
  5. How can I solve the problem? I'm sort of a noob. Using the DS File app is not key to me. I can either try to fix the certificate issue or simply stop using that app as long as it doesn't mean any security risk. Would it work to simply renew the certificate? Any issues with that?
  6. Would I solve the issue by deleting my current synology certificate and creating a new synology certificate? Any issues with that approach?
  7. I am running dsm 6.2.3. In one of my android app (ds file) I get a warning of not trusted SSL certificate when I try to log in using httpS. In other apps such as ds get ot ds audio it works fine. Any way to solve it without let's encrypt (90 days renewal downside)? A friend of mine has the same hardware and dsm version with no issues like mine.
  8. Hi. A friend of mine is thinking about buying an intel nuc to use it as a nas. It's Intel Nuc BOXNUC6CAYH with a j3455 cpu. Any issue with this nuc and its cpu? Recommended loader and dsm version? Anyone sharing their experience? Thanks.
  9. Thanks. I was aware of the different connectors, but somehow I got confused and mistook there was a nwme which was the same as sata. The page I linked contains an nvme, which I didn't notice. Mine was the sata ssd. Thanks everyone for your help.
  10. Thank you very much. The link was an interesting reading. My ssd states Sata, but somehow I got confused and thought it wouldn't be compatible.
  11. My ssd drive has got a sata conector with a specified maximum speed of 6Gb/s. Can I assume it has nothing to do with NVMe?
  12. How can I know if it is a regular Sata SSD disk or a NVMe SSD? The drive I intend to use a main and only disk is Seagate Ironwolf 3.84tb Red Nas Ssd https://www.seagate.com/as/en/internal-hard-drives/ssd/ironwolf-nas-ssd/ How can I know if it is a regular Sata SSD disk or a NVMe SSD? Any feature in the specs I should pay attention to? Thanks.
  13. I already suspected that it Dsm cannot be relocated to another drive once it is install. In order to do it I guess a fresh install would be required, right? I meant if there is any problem to do a fresh install on an ssd. This would be the drive Seagate Ironwolf 3.84tb Nas Ssd https://www.seagate.com/as/en/internal-hard-drives/ssd/ironwolf-nas-ssd/
  14. By the way, I don't know if it's a stupid question. Is it possible to install Xpenology on an SSD? I have a 4tb ssd which I plan to use a main and only drive.
  15. I don't know how old your devices are, but WebOs 2 sound pretty old (8+ years???). I have been using (free) Plex with no problem in subtitles and video and audio. My Fire Tv stick and my Lg Web OS 4.5 could manage subtitles perfectly. With my Web OS 4.5 LG tv transcoding worked line a charm with avi video files and dts audio. As for the fire tv stick, transcoding h265 files (1.5gb) work fairly well. I have replaced my old tv and fire tv with a brand new lg web os 5.0 and everything works fine too. A little remark. When I say that transcoding worked fine, I mean Cpu transcoding, not GPU transcoding.
  16. Thank you very much for your quick reply. I intend to go for loader 1.04b and dsm 6.2.3 or newest release available. I just wanted to know if anyone has the same device and could guide on the best choice. As for hw transcoding in plex, I am not planning on paying Plex Pass for now since my tv's are relatively new and would manage most of recent codecs, so I'll skip Pass. I just wanted to know if free hw transcoding was possible in case I would need it. But if I happen to need it, I guess CPU transcoding would do.
  17. Hi. I got my hands on an Intel Nuc NUC7PJYH with j5005 cpu, 4gb and a large Nas ssd. I would like to know which would be the best bootloader version and dsm version for it and, if possible, a way to enable hardware transcoding in Plex (free version). I have been checking some older threads but I got a bit confused. Thank you very much.
  18. Of course. I had already considered it. Thanks. I was thinking about changing the power source and I considered to use a pico psu.
  19. We tried Jun's 1.04b 918+ but it was unstable. It took a long time to boot and shutdown, and it wasn't detected in Lan. Other users reported problems with asrock j3455 and the latest dsm versions. What dsm version did you install in your Asrock j3455 itx?
  20. That's surprising. A friend of mine has just built his xpenology with an Asrock J3455-itx 4Gb and 1x2TB WD blue 2.5" and he reported 9w by using a pico psu. I don't know if there are any differences between your M mobo version and my friend's itx. Are you using a standard psu or a pico psu? Could I know what bootloader and Dsm version you are using?. He had some trouble with newer dsm versions, so he finally installed 1.03b on 916+ with dsm 6.1.7.
  21. Hi. I have a built with an Asrock Q1900-itx with 4Gb Ram and a 2TB WD Red drive. I know it is a very efficient mobo. I'm not trying to be stingy on consumption. The point is that my psu is somehow old and I may replace it, so I don't know if I should go for a regular psu or a pico psu. My current built with my old psu consumes 19w on idle (no hibernation because of plex). Those having the same mobo could you, please, post your consumption on psu or pico psu? Please, indicate how many drives you have and if they are 2.5 or 3.5w. Thank you very much.
  22. Thanks. We had seen the thread before. His cpu is apollo lake. He tried 6.2.1 but if was unstable and transcoding didn't work at all. I may be wrong, but I think transcoding is not possible in ds3615. That's why he chose 918. He has found a what seens to be the solution in this thread
  23. Anyone having an updated functional version on this mobo?
  24. I am finally able to transcode by using Emby. I could also transcode under Plex, but it was smoother on Emby. Plex didn't allow the drives the hibernate, whereas Emby does (you need to disable automatic port mapping if you want the drives to hibernate). I don't know if it is hardware transcoding or software transcoding (does software transcoding exist?). I just know I can play h265 video on my old Samsung TV, and I can play old avi videos in my new LG tv.
