  2. Hi, just a question, how did you get all 18 drives recognized? I have 12 in mine and put the max disk to 12 but only see 8. I'm running the 3622xs and have 6Sata on my motherboard, another Asmedia card with 6 ports and 2 NVME SSD's, on the ASmedia i'm only using 4 ports btw.
  3. This is a basic that is so solid, loved the work done on this and am now using the automated version of this after using this for over a year, fantastic kit and perfectly done! Thanks for your work!
  4. This is an amazing pice of kit! Congrats on getting this done, i used it already a number of times and gives me the reason to continue with XPEnology. Maybe one feature request to make it completely headless would be to add a reboot choice in the main menu so you don't have to do this on the server itself and could just go to your router, look which IP the server got and do the rest on your computer without having a monitor/keyboard connected to the server. In general (not for this bootloader) it would be fun to know if it's possible to add a list of HBA that are supporting more than 8 drives and if they work in XPEnology.
  5. Hi, I installed XPEnology DSM 4.2-3211 on my SS4200 hardware. All was working fine when one fan broke, this caused one hard disk to crash. I can't access this disk anymore on my synology. When I try Smart quick test (it tells me all is fine) and i'm doing now a long test to see what the result is. Is there any way to access the information on this disk? It was with another disk configured as JBOD. Is there any possebility to access this disk(s) on my windows 8.1 machine? OR do i have to have a Ubuntu machine? What tools do i use to do this? Thanks for all help! I have 4Tb of data on these disks that i could have lost..
  6. Does enybody have a problem with WOL? With my Intel SS4200 this works perfectly (Intel NIC) and with my other board (Gigabyte with Relatek chipset ) it doesn't work.
  7. Just addes a whole new MB in the list. It is pretty cheap but all features a nas need, pretty fast, a lot of USB ports and 6 SATA ports. Toghether with a i3 or maybe (when available) a Pentium processor this is a totally good platform.
  8. Hi I also put my config in your list. I'm looking to build a new machine so i was also looking around what hardware is suported but i can only find older motherboards with s775 or s1155.. I'm looking at the s1150 platform with an i3 processor.
  9. I'm gonne change the setup to another motherboard: Gigabyte B85M-HD3 Anyone got experience with this?
  10. Hi everyone, I'm currently running DSM 4.2 on my Intel SS4200NAS and this is working verry well. The only problem is that i'm restricted to 4 hard disks. I want to build a new system consisting of following components: AsRock B85M Pro4 (Intel NIC) BeQuiet Pure Power L8 500W Corsair 2x2Gb Vengeance LP Fractal Design midi tower Define R4 Intel Haswell Core i3 4130 WD Green 3Tb and 2Tb disks (2 x 3Gb + 4 x 2Gb) Does anybody know if this motherboard is working with all features? (NIC, USB are the most important) Thanks for posting as much comment as possible!
