Hello,

HP ProLiant MicroServer Gen8 - Server - Ultra-Micro-Tower - 1-Weg - 1 x Pentium G2020T

With DSM 6.2.2-24922 Update 6 with jun  loader 1.03  (DS3615xs) and network card HP NC360T

Yes i'm late on the upgrade process i didn't take time to do it since years ...

I'm trying to prepare my migration and after reading many post and tutorial i'm not sure witch one i have to follow

Do you have any tips or recommendation before i start ?

should i change some BIOS config ?

should i use DSM 7.x with TinyCore RedPill (TCRP) Loader  ?

should i upgrade first to DSM 6.3 ?

What is the Syno model i should use

The new TCRP has a web interface that makes the install a lot easier. No need for all the commands now. https://github.com/pocopico/tinycore-redpill

Peter Suhs MShell is based on TCRP, but takes advantage of ARPL, which makes the building painless.  https://github.com/PeterSuh-Q3/tinycore-redpill

I would recommend you build a DS3622xs+, which is the updated version on the DS315xs.

Its is compatible with most hardware and should work well with you server.

 I would remove your hard drives and use a spare to build the loader to make sure everything works then re-install your data hard drives.

Thanks to both of you. As all recommend I will test with a spare disk yes. And have. A look to the new version of the loader with UI ( I m not afraid of command line)

I just have a look to DS3622xs+ real model

I m happy with the price of my gen8 😄

Now I just need time and calm

Hello i start the operation

i'm stuck on the build part

inside the UI TCRP-mshell i don't find any entry for build the loader

so i launch the command

./rploader.sh build ds3622xsp-7.2.1-69057

But the command failed

Unzipping broadwellnk 5.10.55 redpill.ko ...

cp: cannot stat '/tmp/rp-broadwellnk-5.10.55-prod.ko : Aucun fichier ou dossier de ce type

No extra build option or static specified, using default (static)

using static compiled redpill extension

removing any old redpill.ko modules

looking for redpill for : ds3622xsp_69057
Modules does not contain platorm information for ds3622xsp_69057

Seem it's try to load from this repo https://github.com/PeterSuh-Q3/tcrp-modules/tree/main/all-modules/releases

the information but i dont find this "broadwellnk-5.10.55" version

The pat file is well on /mnt/sbd3/auxfiles/ds3622xsp_69057.pat

@Peter Suh fyi

I'm still investigate is someone have an idea i take ;)
