Americanzer0 Posted January 11, 2023 Share #1 Posted January 11, 2023 Xpenology Install: DSM 7.1.1-42962 Update 1 DS3622xs+ Hardware: Chenbro 12000 Problem: Storage manager disk logs do not work. It does not refresh, though it was working prior in DSM 6.2? I think this might be an issue between upgrading between the DSM's but even after attempting another a re-install I do not have access to drive logs? Could this be a scenario where a file needs to be created or is it something else?
djlild7hina Posted January 11, 2023 Share #2 Posted January 11, 2023 I also noticed the same thing when using ARPL but I'm wondering if it cleared out when I changed real synology DS1817+ to xpenology ds918+ then DS920+. I just tried unplugging a drive and it showed in the logs. I'll keep an eye out to see if the logs populate or not
Americanzer0 Posted January 12, 2023 Author Share #3 Posted January 12, 2023 So, to clarify, you have working drive logs currently on a real synology, but not ARPL? or are your logs now working on Xpenelogy?
djlild7hina Posted January 12, 2023 Share #4 Posted January 12, 2023 I migrated from Xpenology to real synology recently to try and I didn't have logs either. Though I'm not sure if it's because my drives haven't had issues recently. Xpenology log worked when I tried unplugging/replugging a drive in. Americanzer0 Posted January 12, 2023 Author Share #5 Posted January 12, 2023 So you unplugged it while it was running and then plugged it in and it began to work?
djlild7hina Posted January 18, 2023 Share #6 Posted January 18, 2023 I had to repair the drive once i plugged it back in but yeah. Just saw a log entry on one of my drives so looks like it only records new entries
