USB Flash Write speed relavent for performance ?

Hi all, 

I have been using DSM 6 on a HP proliant Gen 10  for a while with meduim performance  

Sorry for the noob question i looked for the forum but i was not able to find the answer  :

Is the read/write spped of the usb flash disk used to unstall  is important for the system performance in a bare metal installation?

No it does not. 

Even though its a permanent part of the Xpenology system, the USB flash drive is only used to boot the system.

The DSM (OS) is installed on your larger SATA/SAS drives.

What tasks are you performing when you get "medium performance"? What platform are you using?
