bas1212 Posted September 28, 2022 #1 Posted September 28, 2022 (edited) Hi all, I wanted to install dsm on proxmox but I got confused and tried to switch to baremetal. I need some advice. I tried to install xpenology with redpill tcrp loader on baremetal , but after creating the bootloader , the synology was not found. rploader satamap says no warning and shows 6 ports and 4 drives. I also have 4 drives plugged in and 1 nvme drive. So I tried to install on proxmox but now I get errors when installing, I have enabled hotplug for the sata ports.but where im a bit confused is that I have an nvme disk that I cannot disable. I have installed proxmox on that and I can see the 4 other disks. But If I called correctly I cannot install DSM on an nvme drive? If I want to install DSM on baremetal should I remove the nvme drive? and try the red pill loader again? This is my config for baremetal. tc@box:~$ ./rploader.sh identifyusb Found SanDisk Ultra SerialNumber: 4C531001330818121533 Vendor ID : 0x0781 Product ID : 0x5591 Should i update the user_config.json with these values ? rojoone2 Posted September 28, 2022 #3 Posted September 28, 2022 I have not built anything on an Intel 10th gen MB, but I do have a barematal build on an Intel 9th gen with a Realtek 2.5gb NIC. Have you tried adding the Intel gigabit driver before your build command? ./rploader.sh ext apollolake-7.1.0-42661 add https://raw.githubusercontent.com/pocopico/rp-ext/master/igb/rpext-index.json But first, post the output of your build so others can check for errors.
