redpill dsm 7.1 - how to add new disks?

Hi.

I Installed DSM 7.1 with 1 disk. How can I add more disks? I attached 1 new disk, but it's not visible in DSM. Should I boot to tinycore first and build redpill one more time?

My specs:

- DSM 7.1

- VirtualBox

- geminilake-7.1.0-42661

- redpill

There shouldn't be any need to rebuild if your sata port map was configured correctly the first time around (I'm doing this myself with a TCRP DSM 7.1 install in ESXi at the moment).

 

However, when asking for help please include as much information about your setup as possible to help us help you.

 

Include:

- loader and version

- hardware details (including whether baremetal or virtual)

- DSM version

check your settings in the grub.cfg 

SataPortMap=1 (1 is for one disk ) and then DSM shows only one disc

I changed SataPortMap=1 to SataPortMap=2 in grub, booted and still only first disk is visible. Any hints?

Ok I ran 'build' one more time and now second disk is visible.
