MarsManden Posted November 19, 2014 Share #26 Posted November 19, 2014 I have seen you have 4To HDD in your Proliant N54L. I believed the Proliant could only use 2 or 3 To HDD ? Where did you see that? I've had no problems at all. It's been running with these disks for the last year now.

MarsManden Posted November 19, 2014 Share #28 Posted November 19, 2014 I mean - where did you see that the N54L was able to use 2 or 3TB disks only?

LoliveT1 Posted November 23, 2014 Author Share #33 Posted November 23, 2014 I still have a question about my volume, as I don't have the option to recreate it. I can only delete it. As update wasn't working, I stopped the background checking HDD during creation of the SHR volume, thinking it was the problem. Do I need to delete the volume and start again volume creation ? Here is what the systme indicates :

Here is what the systme indicates : How many disks do you have? seems that you have used all your disks. if you want to create new volume, you must have free disks, otherwise you can only delete existing volume re-create means delete and create
LoliveT1 Posted November 26, 2014 Author Share #36 Posted November 26, 2014 I have 2 disks. I am just wondering if I really need to re-create the volume from these 2 HDD as the system indicates all is OK.

Diverge Posted November 26, 2014 Share #38 Posted November 26, 2014 The sed command is only for small updates, it's not for full updates. This thread should really be closed as it has nothing to do with 5.1.
LoliveT1 Posted November 27, 2014 Author Share #39 Posted November 27, 2014 Yes, you're right, I have be advised for this solution. I didn't know how to change the title of the post, as it has nothing to do with 5.1 as you say. I would rather name it "My first NAS 5.0 4528" as I still have questions to finalize my installation and don't find the answers.
