mtheo Posted April 11, 2014 Share #1 Posted April 11, 2014 (edited) Hallo Zusammen, im footer könnt ihr sehen, was für eine Konstellation ich nutze. Nun habe ich nach dem hervorragenden Tutorial von thedarkcloud gnoboot installiert und es läuft tadellos, auch eine update des DSM hat einwandfrei funtkioniert. Was ich mich nun gerade frage, ist, wie wird eigentlich gnoboot an sich upgedatet. Wird da einfach die .vmdk getauscht and thats it. Ich hätte auch noch Fragen an den Betreiber von thedarkcloud, aber scheinbar ist er nicht zu kontaktieren, was ich schade finde. d3dx9 Posted April 11, 2014 Share #2 Posted April 11, 2014 Hi, gnoBoot nutzt einen modifzierten Kernel. Der Kernel wird durch GNU (Lizenz) verpflichtend veröffentlicht da es auf Linux Basis ist. Das System installiert sich auf der HDD in Slot 1, oder der nächst verfügbaren, daher -> USB Stick formatieren, neues Update einfügen und "thats it". Leider verstehe ich jetzt nicht, warum ich auf dem esxi mit einem USB-Stick hantieren soll oder muss. Wenn ich die geänderte vmdk von darkcloud habe, kann ich die dann nicht auf den esxi hochladen und in die vm einbinden wie die im moment aktuelle vmdk.
