bearcat Posted November 13, 2018 Share #2 Posted November 13, 2018 First 2 things for you to find out as a start: 1 - What networkcard (or chip) is inside your computer? 2 - Is that card/chip compatible with the version of DSM you try to innstall? zerocold256 Posted November 13, 2018 Author Share #3 Posted November 13, 2018 yes it is compatible... JMicron jme: JMicron PCIe Gigabit
bearcat Posted November 13, 2018 Share #4 Posted November 13, 2018 (edited) If its compatible, your DHCP server should have been getting a request.. Have you tried a different cable or port? Next Q: What bootloader have you been trying? Edited November 13, 2018 by bearcat

zerocold256 Posted November 14, 2018 Author Share #7 Posted November 14, 2018 i tried it all and the same issue except that 5.2 loader gave me another error... This kernel requires an x89-64 cpu, but only dete4cted am i686 CPU.
ideasman69 Posted November 14, 2018 Share #8 Posted November 14, 2018 yep you're out of luck matey.. the cpu is only an intel atom n270. you really need an x64 chip for any of the loaders to work https://ark.intel.com/products/36331/Intel-Atom-Processor-N270-512K-Cache-1-60-GHz-533-MHz-FSB-
bearcat Posted November 14, 2018 Share #9 Posted November 14, 2018 There has been posted a guide to be used with x86 (32bit) it might be worth a look btw: As you get an IP from your server, using Windows on the client, confirmes that your HW is working, but it still needs to be compatible with the bootloader/DSM used, and they are Linux based.
