When doing migration from 5.2 using gen8 image i can't migrate, the pat from synology site keeps give error 13 in 40% i'm missing something?

I read all the page's, but this posts help me to understand things better.

I already have gen8 ds6 running with exsi, i only don't decide yet to migrate my data from gen8 bare metal ds5.

 

Two questions

- in esxi ds6 is need change serial numbers? I don't change nothing but i only boot and nothing much more.

- If do ds6 in bare metal with second image is need change vid/pid and serial numbers or nothing is needed?

From what i'm see the versions that exists only work in bios with uefi (bare metal) or with vmware.

Is only i can say

 

I have gen8 with bare metal ds5 and now i'm moving it to a exsi ds 6... but i didn't do it until get a clear vision of the development status

I have a gen8 and can try, but i can't figure out where the boot is and if is even possible... some posts talk about esxi other bare metal... can you please clarify?

I need do some test in performance (short story, need storage to backup vms in xenserver) and that is a nightmare because the nfs speed in xenserver...

 

So how are you doing to test your performance? And protocols, smb or nfs?

 

I have one old n54l and one gen8 both have xpenology and i can use them to make some tests in lab enviroment...

 

To the N54l i have the follwing values

Avr Read 110 MB/s

Avr Write 98,45 MB/s

 

The test i made is with dd /dev/zero

One for all people!

 

The latest version isn't working!!! It only works to some people that don't need iscsi lun's, the volumes can be created, however never can be mapped to the lun targets, so its useless.

 

Stop the post that is working in your setup if you don't use luns, the main problem right now with the latest version is mapping luns volumes to targets

Hy there,

 

I'm trying configure my xpenology to act as dhcpserver however isn't work, any command i can run to see if the clients request are getting into the synology?

 

The setup is a little trick, because i have a firewall and subnets in the middle... the request go into the firewall and then i send it to the syno, but i don't get any response... so any way i can know it the request arrive in the synology?
