wmvare went for a subscription so in my home lab it wont be an option anymore. proxmox or DSM since i dont need high performance thought maybe a dsm was a better option especually since ive been using synology since 2014

i have a i5 6 CPUs x Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-9400 CPU @ 2.90GHz 32 gb ram and 4 tb ssd ESXI host. currently running a vmware, but i want to leave cvmware behind so i was thinking what if iturn it into a powerful nas+vmhost combo. which synology nas is the closest to this , and if it can run virtual machines ( windows and linux)

hi all, so ive got a i5 4300 cpu 8gb ram lenovo laptop where i am trying to install ds920+ or ds218+ . the loader build goes all the way o issues. but when i try to download and install the DSM it gets to the restarting your NAS 10 minutes countdown than at the end of the countdown it comes back with saying unknown error and i can start to upload DSM manually again, but i will get the same error. if you guys have an input i would apprecaiate it.
