I have a bricked ds1512+. BLOD, Fans turn on, no LAN or Disk lights. Have attempted all the regular troubleshooting and looks like it's due to usb dom. I want to load a fresh image on a usb, remove the current usb dom, and try to boot from the new image. Is this possible? If so is there a way I can get a full "clean" image of the contents of a working usb dom that would be compatible with my hardware? I am sure there are a lot of factors I am not taking into consideration so please let me know. Thanks!

Reviving this old thread. I have a DS1512+ with a bad usb dom. I want to give booting via usb a whirl but can't find any with the ut165 chip which is the same as my USB DOM. Which USB's did you end up going with? Any suggestions help, thanks!
