  1. Hello, Setup my device about a week ago. I installed the idrive app. Current version installed is 2.05.05-7008. I note on the idrive website that for DSM 7 (and higher) you can only install/update from the Package Center. Synology website is showing me a slightly newer version (2.05.05-7209) to what I have showing and I have no option to update in the Package Manager. https://www.synology.com/en-us/dsm/packages/IDrive?os_ver=7.2 My model is on the applied devices list (DS2422+ and am running DSM 7.1.1-42962 Update 6) Does it take a while to filter down to all devices? Advise on anything I can do at my end? EDIT: I am having an issue with the current app install. Everything works except the scheduled backup job does not run, no errors etc. I've raised a ticket with idrive but so far not much help. So was hoping the slightly newer version my resolve. EDIT 2: Ahh...maybe that newer version is only for DMS 7.2? Thanks and chees in advance.
  2. Hello all, So I recently setup my 1st box. I used a pcie 3.0 ngff adapter card to mount 2 sata drives I had in raid 1. No sata ports on the mboard. Power/data runs through the pcie card. Am now going to purchase a different branded pcie card to mount 4 x ngff satas. So I will have 2 volumes in raid 1. If I continue to populate the exisitng setup/volume with data/apps etc, migrate the 2 existing drives to the new card and add in the extra 2 will I run into any issues with mounting the original volume on the new card in DSM? Will DSM see this as some sort of new device? Having to deleting the volume and starting over? Thanks and cheers
  3. So after a lot of googling. I found this and it works https://www.cphub.net/?p=apm7 https://sourceforge.net/projects/advpowermgr4ds/ You have to install the perl app beforehand and the 1st time I ran the power app I did get a lot of text appear about spelling errors. But i have been able to schedule a power down. Not used the other elements.
  4. Hello all, I only started my very 1st build 2 days ago. I bit of trial and error but am getting there. I am building a box not to be on 24x7 just so I can use the cloudSync and iDrive apps to sync down my GDrive data then rebackup to iDrive. These are installed but not configured/connected. I setup a HP T730 thin client - 8Gb ram, 2 x 256GB NGFF in a pcie sata card (raid 1) and 1 x 30Gb NGFF as the bootloader. This was all kit I had laying around and only had to the buy the pcie sata card for £15. Get solid file transfer speeds of 112Mbs. Using ARPL v1.1-beta 2 to create DS2422+ build 42962. So am pretty happy with the setup. WOL works, short press on the power button to startup/shutdown works but I cannot remotley shutdown the unit. ssh looks impossible from a command line perspective. (I use plink from windows). If I use the built in scheduler just nothing occurs. In the logs I see the job scheduled to run at X time but nothing after that. Did some more digging/reading and in a faint hope I added the powersched addon to the boot loader but nothing. - Is it correct to install the addon and the build (rebuild) the boot loader from the menu again? Can anyone please advise? I do not mind how I shutdown this box as long as is gracefull. - BTW I'll run a scheduled WOL command from my pfsense box. Thanks and cheers EdIt: Forgot to say that manual shutdown and reboot works fine through the DSM web gui
