Thank you gnoboot, Just finished install it on; hardware : n40l 16G ram , PCIe digital-tv card(DMB-th) and a lsi 9261-8i raid card. software : esxi 5.5, pfSense , DSM 4.3, DSM 5.0 beta, WinXP and Windows7. I could be the tester on esxi. Thank you very much ! i clicked your web ad. everyday. :>

Dear gnoboot, Does no mutil media driver mean no ffmpeg? I got a problem on photo station, it cannot make then thumb icon for some dc movie files. Last time, I use dsm 4.2 something, it work, most .mov could view in photo station, Also I got error msg "...coder could not be load/active ... Convention abort ... Or just the dsm problem and I need a fresh installation. Now, I try the dsm on ESXi 5.5 by N40L, it is good and better then VB, Re/wr speed also fast abit. p.s. where could i download "gnoboot-openvmtools-v4" ?? Thank again for your great work! Carl

Yeh ... dd alpha7, copy alpha8's grub conf and replace zImage from alpha9, it work!!

i cannot get into any console/terminal i dd the alpha7.img , it work againt ... and then replace the zImage from alpha8, it boot-up to "DiskStation>", i could login in vb console, however, Cannot going in by the "192.xx.xx.xx:5000" ... any difference between alpha7 and alpha8? only more drivers?

problem on alpha9 in vb, i mounted alpha7 in windows7, and then replace the zImage, umount it, and dd into a working version of dsm in vb. after reboot, it seem stop on the page ... any advice for me? i am using N40l with 9261-8i ...

hmmmm, it's known issue in virtual machines. Are you using AMD cpu? Yes, HP N40L Oh ... It work la!! It is a problem on SCSI hdd setting, set back the data disk to sata is ok.. Thank you gnoboot ...

hi ! Could it be use in virtual box ? I install it , it work on the first time and let me apply the DSM_DS3612xs_4418.pat(org. pat file from syno-logy) files. Other then that, it boot and then shuntdown ... Cannot go into the DSM system page ... I also rewrite the alpha7.img, but still fail to boot ... Thanks...
