Hi all!. I recently changed my OMV setup to xpenology 5.2. I installed the OS on a small hdd direct to the mother board and the 5 TB of data on a Areca card in raid5. Everything works well, but after a couple of reinstallations of the OS, the volume in the Areca card stop working and the system says "volume not started". The data is still there, 'cause I can see it with other Linux OS, but I don't know how to "mount" the volume manually... Thx in advance for your help!!

Buenas a todos. Hace poco me cambie de OMV a Xpenology por su amigabilidad y volque mis 5 TB en un servidor Hp54 con controladora Areca y 4 discos en Raid5. El SO esta en un disco unico conectado a la placa base. El tema es que despues de una cuantas instalaciones del SO por distintos motivos, finalmente el volumen de la controladora creo que se ha corrompido....no lo monta automaticamente y no puedo/se hacerlo manualmente. Los datos estan porque los veo si cargo algun linux de recuperacion. Alguna ayuda?? Gracias

I guess that altought recognaised by the system, there's no driver implemented.......

I'm in the same situation.....my dongle is a Ralink RT5370 that is seen by the system but keep on searching for wifi networks without finding any......also, I can't change any parameterlike type of security or any other. Any ideas?

Thanks a lot for your fast reply, sbv3000. I'm not sure if there will be too much decrease in performance/reliability with soft Raid that worth the job of backing up 6 TB of information!

Hi everybody! This is my first post after discovered this great world of XPEnology!!! My question is : after playing for a couple of months with a home made server and OpenMediaVault, I am right now trying XPEnology on it and everything was fine BUT my previous setup, a Raid 5 Volume mounted on an Areca Arc-1210 doesn't show in DSM.....the controller is listed but the status show "connecting...." all the time, no content inside. Any clue? Thx for this great forum!!
