  1. I'm using a whitebox server I just found a weird problem, i attached 8 drives to my controller, but synology only see 6 drives, is this a common problem?
  2. Yesterday i sold my M5014, i bought a M1015 flashed it to IT mode, this card is working perfectly, tomorrow i will test with spin down Thanks for the effort. Regards Frank
  3. yes both disk are IDE and spin down works, auto power off happened to me when there was no support for the card. Is your card in IT Mode? Does spin down works even if you create a volume on the disks, why i ask, i would like to buy a LSI SAS 2008 and flash it to IT mode. Thanks in advance Regards Frank
  4. yes both disk are IDE and spin down works, auto power off happened to me when there was no support for the card. i have auto power off with a my lsi 9260 and with a scsi vm disk on the paravirtual adapter, Do you use starwind v2v to convert the img? Here a screenshot of it
  5. Does two VM disks, are they IDE or SCSI? Does spindown work for you? For me installation is working, but when i shutdown the VM, attach my LSi raidcontroller, turn it on, it will auto power off the vm after 1 minute.
  6. Instaling on ESXi 5 is working, but when i retsrat it it will give grub error 22. I trun off the VM, replace the boot disk and aftre that turn it on again, but the setup will start again from the beginning Synology assistent said configuration lost
  7. Try using StarWind V2V Image Converter to convert IMG to VMDK for me it is working
  8. So if i convert is to ESXi and passthrough my LSI card, will Spin down work then? Thanks
  9. Has somebody already has spindown working on esxi? I know, to use spin down on a physical rdm with a lsi sas controller in windows i have to change the drivers. But i'm not that good with unix, i hope somebody can take a look at it Furthermore, has anybody vmware tools installed? I tried open vm tools, but during installation it failed Regards

  11. Hi Guys I installed the v1.3 on a VM and i tried to change the mac in the grb.conf, but when i do a reboot, it thinks its an Rackstation and i need to migrate my data. Here is my grub.conf, do i do anything wrong?
