neildeadman Posted February 3, 2023 #1 Posted February 3, 2023 (edited) I've been using Xpenology with DSM 7.0.1 running on a Asus Z87/Deluxe motherboard with an Intel i7-4770 CPU. Its been fine, mostly, but I seem to get random reboots. It mostly seems to happen overnight when I am not near the device or using it. Which logs should I be looking in to figure out what is up? Also, after a few of these reboots, it refuses to boot. It POSTs and then stops at the Asus logo and won't continue past that point. If I move the USB to another port, it boots. I am basically switching it between each port in a cycle. What could cause this, is it hardware related? Are the 2 issues related? Edited February 3, 2023 by neildeadman Missed final Q off Quote
neildeadman Posted February 3, 2023 Author #2 Posted February 3, 2023 I've swapped USB stick. Not sure if that is why, but lets give it a try! Quote
neildeadman Posted February 6, 2023 Author #3 Posted February 6, 2023 The new USB booted to the wizard. Wasn't sure how to proceed without losing any data, so I powered off. Inserted the old USB and it booted further than it was and showed a "Overclocking" warning (I'm not overclocking) and so I enabled XMP and it booted into Xpenology ok. Let's see how this goes....
