dave Posted October 6, 2022 #1 Posted October 6, 2022 Hello, I have unfortunately deleted some files that I would like to restore (if possible of course). After a quick search, photorec appear to be a simple solution to try. But how could I install it ? As there is no apt install. I have try to compile it, but it's not working. I have also try to install deb package, not working neither. Is there any way to install this ? I have a 7.1 in a esxi (6.0). Thank you Quote
0 kekesed97 Posted October 8, 2022 #2 Posted October 8, 2022 There is Entware to install third party binary to Synology system, but I didn't find photorec available in entware repo. You will have to boot other linux on your computer (either your current box or some other computer), install mdadm, mount your drives as storage pool, and run recovery software there. Quote
