skodilak Posted June 13, 2016 Share #1 Posted June 13, 2016 Hello, I have a problem with Windows ACL's on XPEnoboot 5.2-5644.5. I've joined my xpenology to windows domain and when I try to setup roaming profile share I get an error when giving SYSTEM security principal access rights. The error I get is "Failed to enumerate objects in the container. Access is denied." Did someone get this error? Can it be fixed? On XPEnoboot 5.1-5022 and 5.1-5055 I can add SYSTEM security principal but it disappears when I click apply. No error is given. Best regards Uros
andale Posted June 14, 2016 Share #2 Posted June 14, 2016 Do you want to give the Windows' "SYSTEM" access rights an a DSM share? That won't work.
skodilak Posted June 14, 2016 Author Share #3 Posted June 14, 2016 Yes. It should work and it does on regular Synology NAS. Windows SYSTEM is a must if you want roaming profiles to work. Or is there another way?
sbv3000 Posted June 14, 2016 Share #4 Posted June 14, 2016 as XPE + DSM is a 'hobby' project, not geared towards 'enterprise' features like AD integration, I'd imagine that these kinds of features have not been worked into the XPE setup. If you need AD integration, then, as you say, you need 'real' Syno boxes
