waspy59 Posted January 24, 2016 #1 Posted January 24, 2016 Dear all, sorry for my bad english. I want to install xpenology on my new motherboard Asrock C2550D4I but I can't access to the xpenology interface.... I'm just able to access to the motherboard administration interface over the network. Do you have a tutoral to install Xpenology on this kind of motherboard? BR
pastrychef Posted January 24, 2016 #2 Posted January 24, 2016 I think you may have the ethernet cable plugged in to the wrong ethernet port. Try plugging it in to one of the other ports.
metalcraft Posted January 24, 2016 #4 Posted January 24, 2016 My first question here is. Have you been able to boot up the partition that is bootable for example if you did a USB bootable make sure you are booting up the usb first and confirm that you have a Disklogin screen. If you are getting any errors posted it here.
waspy59 Posted January 24, 2016 Author #5 Posted January 24, 2016 Hi all, I have plugged a bootable USB drive with all necessary files (syslinux.cfg, zImage ect...). My server is plugged in my personnal network with one of the two ethernet plugs (not the IPMI connector). I can access to it with my PC at the local address: 192.168.1.20 (access to the server adminitration interface).
metalcraft Posted January 24, 2016 #6 Posted January 24, 2016 By server interface you mean IPMI? Have you tried running synology assistant to run a network scan what IP it got assign?
waspy59 Posted January 24, 2016 Author #7 Posted January 24, 2016 Hi, Yes, I'm talking about this interface: With the synology assistant, I can't find my server.... In fact, I think the xpenology is not running on the server but why? the same USB drive on my old configuration worked perfectly. There is something to do in the server interface or may be in the bios?
brantje Posted January 24, 2016 #8 Posted January 24, 2016 Did you boot from USB? Also, the interface you showed is not needed for xpenology.
waspy59 Posted January 24, 2016 Author #9 Posted January 24, 2016 hello Yes the system boot from the USB drives and if you show the attached picture, Xpenology seems to be started....
metalcraft Posted January 24, 2016 #10 Posted January 24, 2016 On the screenshot is that trigger plug event the last line. You don't have anything else after that line like "disk login:". If that is the last line I think there is hardware issue compability with your the C2550D4I. Just search the forum for trigger plug event if it is the last line.
waspy59 Posted January 24, 2016 Author #11 Posted January 24, 2016 Yes I haven't any login I will try to connect the DD to other SATA connector and update the bios.
metalcraft Posted January 24, 2016 #12 Posted January 24, 2016 I had the C2750D4I and completely gave up on xpenology on it event though I want it for badly to work. I got it to work but it just kept crashing my volumes and completely freeze over. I tried it setting up virtually with virtual box and it works great but like always I complain in performance.
waspy59 Posted January 24, 2016 Author #13 Posted January 24, 2016 Hi all I resolved my problem.... The SATA3 connectors (M0 & M1) seems have a problem. When I have desactivated the Marvell 9172 all woks perfectly.
pastrychef Posted January 25, 2016 #14 Posted January 25, 2016 Yes, disabling the Marvell 9172 will allow it to get past the "trigger device plug". I did the same to my C2550D4I and my system has been up and running 24/7 without any issues. I just finished transferring 11TB worth of files in one go to it.
lynx74 Posted February 16, 2016 #15 Posted February 16, 2016 Hi, I've left a post here concerning Marvell SE9172 : viewtopic.php?f=2&t=10958
