No shutdown/restart -> NIC driver issue? (DSM6.2.3 - DS3617xs)

Hi

 

I am currently installing a DS3617xs xpen running DSM6.2.3 with the following hardware and I have both shutdown and restart not working (the server becomes unresponsive but the hardware is still running)

 

 - i5-3470

 - z68-based MB (onboard NIC is dead and disabled in the BIOS)

 - jmb585-based 5ports sATA3 AIC

 - GbE NIC AIC: Broadcom BCM95722A2202G

 

(I have another GbE NIC based on Broadcom BCM95721A211 but I guess they are identical driver-wise, right? There is an extra chip on the card, though...)

 

I read on the forum that issues with shutdown/restart could be due to a driver issue (NIC not natively supported).

Can anyone confirm that this is the source of my issue?

How can I solve it?

How should I add extra drivers if required?
