stephan1827 Posted April 18, 2021 Share #1 Posted April 18, 2021 I want to add an old SSD that I have lying around to my DS3615 but it won't let me create the SSD cache. Is there anything else I have to do? The SSD is recognized by the system and I tried both, creating a volume or leaving it as it is but the create button under SSD cache is still deactivated. Is there anything else I have to do?
IG-88 Posted April 18, 2021 Share #2 Posted April 18, 2021 looks like as if you would have created a new storagepool with the ssd the drive needs to be unused, no pool or volume, there is a special ssd cache option in storage manager, left down below https://www.thomas-krenn.com/de/wiki/Synology_NAS_SSD_Cache_Konfiguration
