M4A88T-M/USB3 sata conf

Hi,

 

I'm trying to install DSM 6.2.1(loader 1.04b) DS3117 on a:

• M4A88T-M/USB3 (SB710 controller, 6 sata3 ports, last bios rev 0704)

• Athlon II x4 215e

• 8gb DDR3

• 5x 4tb WD Red HDD
• 1x 120gb OCZ vertex 4 SSD

 

The BIOS recognizes the 6 satas correctly, but, once I install the dsm, it only recognizes the first 4 connected disks (sata 1, 2, 3 and 4) and what I connect in the sata 5 and 6 does not appear. The sata 1-4 & 5-6 are both configures as ide and in ubuntu appears all OK. I have also tried with sata portmap 6 and 42 but nothing. I have read that it may be necessary to edit the .conf file, but what do I need to change?

if you cant configure the two ports for ahci in bios then you cant ose them for dsm 6.1/6.2

according to the manual there should be a extra option so set port 5/6 to ahci
