djwayne1985 Posted August 28, 2014 Share #1 Posted August 28, 2014 I am currently reading about the grub2 and wondering if it can be used for the installtion of the Synology DSM 5.0 o.s and if it would set the MBR to boot the Synology DSM 5.0 o.s onto a master ide hdd which would then enable the slave ide hdd for the apps n stuff of the o.s which would then enable the sata ports empty for extra hdd's ??
