Schnapps Posted July 26, 2014 Share #2 Posted July 26, 2014 From what I saw on this forum, smart is not passed to the VM. This is an ESX "feature" Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
jeorainc Posted July 27, 2014 Author Share #3 Posted July 27, 2014 From what I saw on this forum, smart is not passed to the VM.This is an ESX "feature" Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Thanks for your comment. I also read a lot of post that almost all people reported that SMART is not an option under hypervisor, but this user reported that he is successful viewtopic.php?f=15&t=3132&start=30#p20149 So I open this post and see if there's any other successful case.. I think the SMART is important so if it is confirmed that it is not available I will choose bare metal for my N54L...
Djey Posted August 1, 2014 Share #4 Posted August 1, 2014 Hi, I'm currently working on a solution involving a Raspberry Pi, polling ESXi to get SMART data directly. Acquired data can then be processed by a web-app. See thread : viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1848&hilit=smart+not+supported&start=
