Alphatoad Posted July 31, 2019 #1 Posted July 31, 2019 Just installed XPEnology as an ESXi virtual machine, however it seems like my raid controller in IR mode (raid 0, LSI 9267-8i) is not recognized. It can be recognized and functions properly in another Linux virtual machine, so I think my hardware setup should be good. This controller cannot be flashed into IT mode, is there any chance I can use this card in XPEnology? I'm really new here. Thanks in advance! Quote

mrpijey Posted September 30, 2019 #3 Posted September 30, 2019 Considering that DSM relies on SMART info to check on your drives, and that it handles all the RAID etc itself I would recommend you get a proper IT-flashed card, or figure out a way to set that card of yours in IT mode. Quote
