DSM 6.1 fails to install ESX 6.0. Failed to format disk

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

I am trying to install DSM on ESXi 6.0 u1 but running into an issue. The error is "Failed to format the disk. 35". I configured the serial port and when I login to diskstation it shows there are no disks. Which I assume why it fails to format.  I have tried sata controller/IDE/SCSI, nothing works

DS1615 xs 6.1 Jun loader  v1.02

Running on Dell r510 8bay with ESX on top

Try to wipe the vdisks and start over. Error 35 usually occurs if there‘s a partition layout which can‘t be deleted.
