About Me

  1. Salut, Moi pour ma config NAS Plex, je suis parti sur une Z370M PRO4 mATX avec i5-8600K et 8 Go de RAM. La carte possède 6 SATA3 et 2 Ultra M.2 .
  2. Salut, - Carte mère : Z370M Pro4 ( mATX ) - Processeur : Intel i5-8600k
  6. Intel Core i7-8700K ASRock Z370M Pro4 Migrated DSM from 916+ to 918+. Tested to boot: ok Tested to video hardware transcode: not working (latest Plex Pass and Videostation) Would appreciate any feedback on the hardware transcoding? Activation looks okay with SN/MAC, maybe missing some codecs? {"success":true,"activated_codec":["h264_dec","h264_enc"],"token":"xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"} I also ran this command: sudo synocodectool —activate_codec h264_dec --pkgname videostation reboot There were some errors like this in the logs: 2018-07-05T15:11:34+01:00 Syno synoscgi_SYNO.VideoStation2.Streaming_2_open[4635]: json_utils.cpp:147 Failed to parse json file [/tmp/VideoStation/enabled] 2018-07-05T15:15:19+01:00 Syno synoscgi_SYNO.VideoStation2.Streaming_1_stream[7036]: vte/adapt_streamer.cpp:48 Failed to hls transcoding 2018-07-05T15:15:27+01:00 Syno synoscgi_SYNO.VideoStation2.Streaming_1_stream[7102]: vte/adapt_streamer.cpp:48 Failed to hls transcoding 2018-07-05T15:15:43+01:00 Syno synoscgi_SYNO.VideoStation2.Streaming_1_stream[7294]: vte/adapt_streamer.cpp:48 Failed to hls transcoding I noticed the /dev/dri folder is missing? It was the same on 916+. No HW transcoding in Plex or Video Station.
  7. Hello, I just test new loader 1.03a2. DSM 6.2 is install and fine on my configuration: ASrock Z370M Pro4, Pentium G5500. Everything work fine except support of LSI 9211-8i controler. I use it on my old xpenology project. Can I install driver for it ? Many thanks for your work.
  8. So, this has happened to me twice. After a week or two, something goes wrong and my XPenology baremetal NAS is simply broken. It does auto boot correctly (I have set up boot and shutdown times) but none of the services work. And when I open DSM it just tells me: "Sorry, the page you are looking for is not found." I cannot access any services like Plex, the Web Station, anything. SSH is working but when I login, it seems like a lot of files are gone. Volume1(my only mounted HDD) for example is empty. The first time around I lost a lot of my files, so in case it would happen again I did daily backups but this is just annoying having to reinstall the NAS every couple of weeks. Is this normal for Xpenlogy baremetal setups or am I doing something wrong? My baremetal server is custom built having: Asrock Z370M Pro 4 Motherboard (https://www.alternate.de/ASRock/Z370M-Pro4-Mainboard/html/product/1384805?) be quiet! Pure Power 10 400W Power Supply (https://www.alternate.de/be-quiet-/Pure-Power-10-400W-PC-Netzteil/html/product/1328350?) Crucial DIMM 8 GB DDR4-2666 RAM (https://www.alternate.de/Crucial/DIMM-8-GB-DDR4-2666-Arbeitsspeicher/html/product/1387943?) Intel® Core™ i5-8400, Processor (https://www.alternate.de/Intel/Core-i5-8400-Prozessor/html/product/1380860?) WD Red 2 TB HDD Bulk Version (https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B008JJLZ7G/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1) I am running DSM 6.1.5-15254 Update 1 on JUN'S LOADER v1.02b - DS916+ During the 2nd installation I used a Serial from an old DS216J or something to possibly avoid issues. For the first install I used a randomly generated Serial. The Mac Address was correcly set and I carefully followed the installation guide both times. I mean everything works splendid for a while (1-2 weeks) and then out of the blue it just breaks. Furthermore I had the following apps running: Plex Server Web Station Several Docker containers with stuff like a Minecraft server, Headphones, Cuchpotato, Home Assistant Synology Drive FHEM (only the second time) some other Synology Apps some other 3rd party Apps The following might also be of interest: I have Optware installed (via a 3rd party bootstrapper package) to use IPKG I have an automatic boot/shutdown schedule running, it shuts down the NAS every evening and boots it early in the morning At 6 am it runs a full auto. backup using Hyperbackup to a USB drive (has worked nicely) I did try once or twice to login with my Synology Account (before I knew that that wouldnt work anyway and would only cause trouble) which of course did not work I spent many hours correctly configuring the access rights for all docke and non docker apps I disabled root SSH access and only allow public key auth. for SSH access Telnet is disabled The password for the admin account that I use is very strong and random (32 bits, with all security requirements enabled) Every minute I run an sh scripts which checks whether new stuff has arrived on an external server and the copies it over using SFTP Can anybody please help me. I can provide any data/information you need. Thanks in advance!
  9. - Outcome of the update: SUCCESSFUL - DSM version prior update: DSM 6.1.5-15254 - Loader version and model: Jun's Loader v1.02b - DS916+ - Installation type: Baremetal (ASROCK Z370M PRO4) - Additional comments: No reboot needed
