Really no one ?
-
I have a n36l with hacked bios (for use of e-sata port), 4 GB ram and latest bootloader and update 3 from syno
My problem is that arround every hour the drives spins up for 5 min and then go to sleep, another hour later the same thing is happening
Anyone know a solution to this problem ?
-
don't belive its possible, if i recall right there being made a system partition on every disk in the server with some files on
-
i didente have much probs with my N36L, but have a coouple of questions
Are you on org bios or hacked bios ?
Have you trid to boot noamaly on the 5.2 image, not the install/upgrade ?
-
have you tried this
For those who made th Update to 5.2-5565 Update 1 and can't access the dsm:
1. First to get access
crowpet wrote:Think i got it on my n54l with Monitor and keyboard localy atached!
1. Login as root
2. type su
3. ifconfig eth0
- I only had a ip v6 adress -> so no connection
4. type ifconfig eth0 #IPofNAS# netmask 255.255.255.0 up -> now you can connect via browser on the given ip
5. Login in DSM in Browser
6. Goto "Controlcenter" -> "Network"
- Check the settings on your NIC "LAN1" and tourn off ipv6
- I have set the ip to static
Don't reboot!!!
2. Now you can Trry to downgrade (migration install) - to keep your app's and configs
- Ive done the steps here "http://xpenology.me/how-to-downgrade-from-dsm-5-2/" but ive installed the "DSM 5.2-5565" from here "http://xpenology.me/downloads/"
- After the migration install iam up an running and everthing seems fin now
Dont update again or the dsm will got the same errors!!!!
Hope this is a help
3. Think about a clean install / test system
-
i did DSM 5.2-5565 first, them downloaded the update 1 and made a manuel install within dsm 5.2
had to hard reboot the server after the u1 install to get it working
-
its working on my n36l with hacked bios
take a look at this http://lime-technology.com/forum/index. ... =11585.240
make sure that SATA IDE Combined Mode is set to disable, or else it won't work
-
that is correct, i did the same with my gen 7 n36l, worked like it should
-
i have updated my HP gen 7 and a homemade server, both hung on reboot after install of update 1, had to make a hard reboot on both, but after that it runs as it should
-
and you are choosing install/upgrade in the option window ?
-
Unfortunately ( XPEnoboot_DS3615xs_5.1-5055.1.img ) Is not working. Only makes it to XPEnoboot logo and just hangs there. Tested on 4 different USB drives even tried re downloading the image 3 times... any ideas ?
i just installed it on my 2 units, works like it should
-
why is it ppl are in such hurry to update ?
-
The same to me.When XPEnology 5.2 out? How long?
Its out when its out, not sooner or later
