  1. Question. I can't get pass IP login once I create the loader. I tried so far Arc arpl, arpl beta latest. Arpl latest. And always get stuck at the same step. The loader seems to be created fine, no error highlights. I do the reboot, I get the IP and can't login using the IP and can't find my nas using find.synology.com Interesting thing is that my router reports a different IP address and not the one I'm getting from the loader. I tried both and nothing happens. Any ideas?
  2. I can't connect with the provided IP by loader. Can't find server using find.synology Running out of clues here.
  3. OK here's an update. I manage to install the loader. I updated the firmware bios and it worked. Now my problem is that I'm stuck at trying to login using the IP asignated by the loader. I've if I use the find.synology.com it can't find anything in my network. Apparently the loader is finding my network card on my server and assigning an IP. But I can't get passthrough this point. I chose DS3622xs+ I am using arpl v1.1-beta2a Same thing happened with latest Arc arpl. So far no one has commented or try to help me here so I will keep trying
  4. Here are pics of what im gettting. I am trying to lead directly from SSD drive. My board its not allowing me to use a usb drive to load. I burned the image to the drive using balena etcher. I am using the gpu embedded in cpu. I tried latest arc loader and arpl latest. I am doing baremaletal install. Don't know if I need to change something in my bios. Initial text of loader can be read and displays as normal, one I select to configure loader and it starts that's when text becomes unreadable. Using same SSD in my main PC (AMD Ryzen with a Radeon RX590 gpu) everything works fine. My system that im trying to use is: Ryzen 7 5700G (Using integrated GPU) ASRock B550M Steel Legend 32Gb DDR 3x 14TB HDD Seagate This setting was running TrueNAS Scale without any issues. This is giving me a hard time, after countless hours doing backup it seems I won't be able to use xpenology after all. .Any help will be appreciated, thanks in advance.
  5. Same here. I am moving away from Truenas Scale. I need something more user friendly and more intuitive. If you are very savy Truenas is the way to go because of its power, but for a person like me that dont want to spend countless hours reading and watching videos to learn how to do things, its best to use a platform that already have everything that I need.
  6. Hey guys, I do not want to open multiple threats to ask question based on the same build. I would like to know what is the best alternative: Baremetal or VM like windows and run a virtualbox? The reason I am asking is that I am going to run EMBY media server and I do not like to transcode, but sometimes you cant avoid transcoding for whatever reason and then the internal GPU on the CPU becomes handy. It is my understanding that Xpenology do not support AMD integrated GPU due to Synology not supporting it. Is there any walkaround to this? Is the better option is to go with a Win PC running VM? I am currently making a HUGE backup of all of my data, once i Finish y will delete Truenas Scale and try Xpenology. Any help with this questions will be deeply appreciated.
  7. I havent yet. I was hoping to get some assessment into that. I dont know what is the best choice based on my hardware.
  8. Simply WOW!! Thanks for the ultra fast answer and help. As fas as I know Xpenology wont support integrated GPU like the one in the Ryzen 7 5700G, then that means no transcoding on EMBY or Plex, right?
  9. Hi. My build is as follows Ryzen 7 5700G (Using integrated GPU) ASRock B550M Steel Legend 32Gb DDR 3x 14TB HDD Seagate I am currently using Truenas Scale with ZFS. In my opinion its a little bit complicated and I would like to use something a little bit more user friendly.
  10. Hi, I am very new to the NAS world. About a year and an half I build a TrueNas Scale server. During that time i though it was the right choice, I got more hardware power for the buck vs buying a synology nas. At the end I believe it is a little bit overkill for what I need. I end up using it to host my media library and use it with EMBY media server. Plus TrueNas Scale can be a little bit complicated to use for newbies like me. I been thinking on changing to Xpenology for the simplicity. Helpfully I will find the help that I need here. PS. My build is: AMD Ryzen 7 5700G with Radeon Graphics (Using the integrated GPU) ASRock B550M Steel Legend 32 GB DDR 3x 14TB HDD Seagate
