  5. I had downloaded pat file / img file / ISO file & Vmdk file.. Tried to install on vbox.. But after first boot it never booted again... Do i need to create usb boot disk for that also?

  7. The number of disks you can use in a volume depends on the type of volume you're creating. From what I vaguely remember, you cannot exceed 12 disks per volume for RAID5 and RAID6 with Synology. Don't quote me on this. However, as you can see below, I've successfully created a single SHR1 volume with 24 drives. "Hi, What is your Server Config., I just want to know as I am planning to build Highend NAS using AMD 990FX Chipset with 6 Drive. Planning for SHR1 / Raid 10. Please reply I will be waiting"
  8. Hi, I want to purchase and hardware to turbo speed Xpenology Box. I am lover of AMD and from past 20 Years I am only selling AMD based Systems (Highend only).. I am planning to purchase Asus Sabertooth AM3+ 990FX motherboar with AMD FX 4000 or FX 6000 series Cpu. Can any one just confirm me that I wont face any Compatible issues related to Hardware. And I want to Add PCI Express Raid Controller, which will be compatible for DSM and which version. (Looking for 8port or 12Port SATA controller) Also let me know have any one build any AMD based NAS with Xpenology and configured SDD Cache and does any more performance was gain..? Please reply as soon as possible.. Planning to purchase hardware as soon as possible... Regards Todi...... India
