    Hi,

Yes, synoboot.img is used to create the USB stick to boot the installation process.

Use RAW-COPY tool to create the USB: http://hddguru.com/software/HDD-Raw-Copy-Tool/

    It worked for me.

  2. Hello!

This is core and config file that is currently working on my microserver: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B5tpWhE ... l3a0k/edit

Unfortunately usb not working properly (like in virtualbox).

I have 5 sata drives and usb flash with xpenology connected.

That's good news. Do we just have to replace those files on the usb created with the synoboot image?

Any other advice? (like specific BIOS settings or similar...)

Thank you. I'll try it a bit later.

  3. Hi Andy,

Just wondering if this is only compatible with Intel, I've been watching the qnap forum for a while, hoping someone brings this fantastic software to HP N40L with AMD RS785E/SB820M chipset (a fantastic and cheap microserver)

I tried it in a Virtualbox, but the real goal is to have it installed directly to have all resources available.

For now, all the leads tell me that this is not possible, but I just want to be sure before giving up on this :D

    Thank you
