Учитывая, что скрипт даже называется "nvme-cache", то ожидать от него что-то другое - странно. NVME как пул хранения обсуждалось чуть ранее, вам несколько раз ответили.

Чтение-запись это чуть другое. И опять таки - ну возросла, ну и что? Для многих ли домашних сценариев это фактически что-то дает, обмен данными в Drive, фильмы смотреть, синхронизация фоток, пару виртуалов к докерами? Один фиг в большинстве случаев все уткнется в сеть\интернет.
Зато, в случае с чтение-запись не надо забывать по ситуации, когда он разваливался, да еще и забирал за собой весь основной рейд.

Так и есть, большинству пользователей, разницу заметить сложно, субъективно чуть побыстрее DSM откликается и подгружается. Но если много пользователей с файлами работают, то разница будет заметна, есть тесты.
А надо или нет пусть каждый сам решает. К примеру, у меня есть 2 слота m.2 и простенький ssd на 128гб, что мне с ним делать? Либо будет лежать в тумбочке, либо продать за 300руб, либо будет работать кэшем. Думаю, выбор очевиден.

Недавно 7.2 вышел в бету, там добавили поддержку NVME хранилищ для некоторых моделей. На DVA, конечно, оно из коробки не появится, но может умельцы смогут найти решение. Не так давно появился скрипт (в ARPL оно уже встроено в загрузчик), чтобы сделать NVME кэш на многих моделях, в том числе на DVA.

Вы бы прочитали полностью, что я написал "Когда использовал DSM 7 на 918+...". А сейчас у меня не работает, потому что 1) использую DVA3221 2) Этот кэш бесполезен для большинства сценариев и мне не нужен.

The difference is not big, but upon use it is significant and visible without any measurements. The explorer window opens for 30-60 seconds.
The problem is probably something else, I'm confused by reading from the HDD, look in the issues, I've attached screenshots.p.s. Sorry in advance, I can not actively and quickly conduct tests to test, this is a working machine, and I am not a very experienced user.

У меня на 7.1.1u2 работают: определение лиц, HEIC с миниатюрами, видео 4к в video station и Photos с миниатюрами, может что-то еще, чем просто не пользуюсь.
Делал следующим образом:
1) Установить пакет Advanced Media Extensions
2) Скопировать архив ASEPACK.TGZ, перейти в этот каталог и выполнить:
cp ./AMEPack.tgz /volume1/@appstore/CodecPack && cd /volume1/@appstore/CodecPack
mkdir ./pack
cp ./AMEPack.tgz /volume1/@appstore/CodecPack/pack && cd ./pack
tar -zxvf ./AMEPack.tgz
3) Для DSM 7.1.1 нужно заменить файлы synocodectool от версии DSM 7.1
4) Выполнить патч:

Методы не мои, просто экспериментировал и потом собрал несколько инструкций в одну и на чистой DSM у меня это заработало. В телеграмм чате Xpenology один человек сделал установку этого всего через скрипт, но его я не пробовал.

P.S. Сейчас вижу обновление скрипта synocodectool-patch с поддержкой 7.1.1, как минимум добавлять в ручную версии 7.1.1 не нужно. А возможно, и подменять synocodectool не требуется. Не проверял.

Изначально, все доступные модули выбраны для установки. Касательно этой карты, то с ней то уж точно проблем не должно быть, там ставится для e1000 и e1000e. Попробуйте оставить только одну.

Выбирал разные версии DSM, но пока не получилось завести. Как и у некоторых, пропадает сеть при загрузке. Ждал максимум около 15 минут, но и так и не загрузилось.
Мак при загрузке показывает реальный с сетевой карты.
Может конфигурация не подходит или в какую сторону посмотреть?
Попробуйте переключить LKM в prod. По информации от автора загрузчика это влияет только логирование, но я уже раза несколько раз воспроизводил. Собираю на dev - нет сети, меняю на prod - работает, первый раз где-то круга 3 сделал полностью собирая загрузчики с нуля.Либо автор ничего то забыл, либо это какая-то магия и совпадение.
Ну и в модулях убедитесь, что драйвер на вашу сетевую загружается, можно попробовать в списке оставить только его, убрав другой модельный ряд этой сетевой.

У меня, Железо одно и тоже, arpl и friend на 918 тупит, просто redpill работает быстро. 920 работает быстро на arpl и friend, но у меня серийник на 918. Так что мирюсь с тем, что есть.
DVA3221, когда на форуме кто-то отписывался вроде 918+ был, но плохо помню.Не думаю, что в платформе дело, сама DSM работает хорошо, как говорил, меняю только флешку с загрузчиком проблема появляется или исчезает. И у меня это стабильно воспроизводится несколько раз, на разных версиях, загрузчики специально собирались с нуля. Плюс люди в ветке ARPL сообщали, что TCRP решает проблему.
Вот про friend интересно, надо попробовать. Я правильно понял, что у вас виртуалки тупят на ней и на ARPL, но ном, на обычной TCRP, или речь про DSM в целом?
Хотел на днях beta7 попробовать, но при попытке загрузится DSM просит настроится на чистую, на это я пока не готов.Кто пользуется VMM отпишите как у вас работает и какие конфиги. Может какая-то закономерность появится.

Sorry, the test took longer than expected. I set up a more reliable and convenient stand with a clean DSM and Win10, but I'm having trouble getting DSM to run on version 0.0.6b. It appears on the network for about 20 seconds and then disappears. I've tried several times as well as waiting for 10 minutes. I had no issues when using the regular TCRP (tinycore-redpill.v0.9.4.3-2.m-shell.img).
