  1. Thank you for the reply! I was kinda leaning that direction, but needed some external validation.
  2. With an I7-8700, is one better off building a DS3622 and lose the ability to hardware transcode or building a DS918 and lose 4 of the 12 threads?
  3. I agree it makes sense to need an active internet connection for the initial BUILD of TCRP and FRIEND. However, it doesn’t make sense to me that you should be REQUIRED to have an active internet connection to simply to start or reboot your server. @pocopico, what do you think?
  4. I was trying to boot my installation of TCRP (9.2.9) with Friend yesterday and the boot failed after trying to check for Friend updates. This is when I realized my DNS Server was down. After bringing my DNS Server back up, I was able to boot Xpenology without any issues. Has anyone else experienced this? Is the expected behaviour that TCRP with Friend will not boot your server if your DNS Server, the internet or the Friend update location is unavailable?
  5. Oops… I had inadvertently changed the boot for UFEI USB Key to USB Key in the BIOS. Thanks. Resolved.
  6. Old Machine: TCRP 8.x (Legacy) - DS918+ 7.0.1 New Machine: TCRP 9.2.9 (UEFI) - DS3622xs+ 7.1.1
  7. Is there a migration path for this? I built a new bare metal UEFI based server and tested it by sticking a blank test HDD drive in, created a pool and share. It worked perfectly. I removed the test HDD and tired moving all the drives from a legacy (bios) bare metal installation into the new server and booted. At this point I get a grub rescue prompt. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
