I've did a lot of test trying clone an boot-loader USB Stick (baremetal DSM 6.2.x/Jun bootloader) working ok. News USBs boot works without change PID/VID and nothing, with different usb brands (SD, USB, Flash)
Under Windows / add software ; Mini-Tool >>
exactly tools are a bit hidden inside Mini-Tool, because there are three ways to copy/clone a disk, but only one works.
Have to open SHADOW MAKER (tool inside Mini-Tool) >> go to "TOOLS" button, and only this button open CLONE DISK utility.(Works similiar CC Cloner from Mac, on left you have "original pendrive DSM bootloader" and right other "new pendrive" . Made clone and try.

1) where I find extra.lzma what are compiled Realtek driver for 2.5gb for my 3617xs?
2) What we can do , if Realtek lunch a new USB NIC Linux driver for kernel up to 5.6 ? (do you thk its easy to compile it?)

I found error, some Linux version doesnt works with Virtual Machine, you've to install the exactly version . Works in my case

Contesto a mí misma para quien siga el hilo en español.
Los gurus "IG-88" y "bearcat" han respondido esta pregunta de arriba en inglés. El adaptador funciona bien con un driver spk que está en el repositorio git-hub (hay varios drivers y depende del CPU que tengas en el NAS Xpenology), sin embargo IG-88 sugiere su extra.lzma que también lo contiene editando el grub. Como soy novata a mi me fue más sencillo instalar manualmente el driver de git-hub desde el Centro de Paquetes de Xpenology. Funciona bien, aunque no he logrado hasta ahora que el Virtual Machine logre detectar la red, aunque el DSM si la detecta al iniciar y detecta la velocidad.

Imagined, Understood that, but firstly I needed to be sure with DSM, now I will buy another thunderbolt adapter for Mac ... step by step, on the mac its easier for me.

I moved Device to other USB, better, but I'm not sure if will arrive to theoretical 2.5gb speed. From Mac (1gb net) connected to Xpenaology only arrive 110mb/s, same of 1gb. ethernet Intel card.

Ok, certainly
1) The port where the usb 2.5 is connected is the 3.1 gen1 of the mother gigabyte b365M. I tested in all ports (usb2 too) of this mother, result is the same..
2) Indeed, it does not exceed the speed of 30-45mbs--

for Xpenology DSM 6.2, emulation 3617xs , drivers 2.12.0-3, Works in my case.
BUT I can't INCREASE SPEED, I've modified MTU to Jumbo 3000, but nothing change. I thk i cant find a good configuration, only can do DSM detect USB and Net . Works, but more slow than 100intel net card .
So Could someone help me to reach speed? >>> ( I've to say that extra.lzma I cant instal yet (i afraid do it, I¡m so newbie).

Anyone know if its possible to add an rj45 2.5gb or 5gb USB adapter to increase speed from my DSM Xpenology? Firs test doesn't work. I believe have to
change DSM configuration, but I don't know how do it -

Estimados, mi DSM (3617) está corriendo normalmente con su placa de red 1/100 standard (en placa Gigabyte b365m sd3h). Tengo 2 preguntas relacionadas 1) dispongo de un usb/Ethernet 2.5gb para colocarle y tener mayor velocidad de transferencia, sin embargo al colocarlo, obviamente el DSM (Baremetal) no lo reconoce. Qué tendría que hacer para configurar el NAS Xpenology como con ese adaptador rj45 como salida-entrada de red? y 2) el equipo (un Mac) conectado al NAS Xpenology, debiera tener otro adaptador que suba la velocidad (thunderbolt u otro) para notar la diferencia de transmisión, cierto? gracias!

Humm not, If I don't understood bad about gigabyte B365M, I may to change 1gb Ethernet Card to a new 10gb Ehternet Card, I would like to convert my LAN to a fast (10G) net transfer data between Server (DSM) and Mac. (I'm seeing 520, 540Intel, Qnap, Lenovo Cards, but I'm afraid to buy a non compatible card with DSM) -thk for answer.

Dear friends I'stucked trying grup recognize my new SATA Card (I added 4 to a Gigagyte b365 with 6ports) . So, firstly DSM 6.2.3 recognize it, and works ok, but after re-start o block-out doesnt recognize directly. I have to disconnect data cable from new Card , and restart againg DSM, after hot plug again cable, and works again. I don't knwo how to edit a config grub or install windows drivers to DSM.. could anyone give me some tips ? thk very much in advance.

Hola Yonvu, he añadido una placa con 4 sataport nuevos, así puedo tener 10 discos en raid. El Xpenology (DSM 6.2.3) la ha detectado y funciona bien. Aunque a veces, tras algún corte, o cambio de USB de arranque (suelo hacer pruebas con un USB clone por las dudas), entonces ya no funciona más el arranque (1.03bJuns) . Es decir, no detecta la nueva placa, pues si desconecto los cables de de la placa, el grup inicia nuevamente, y si conecto nuevamente los cables, los vuelve a leer. Ahora bien, yo no se como se ponen los drives de la placa en el DSM, ni tampoco se cómo modificar el grup para que ahora reconozca la nueva placa pcie. Puedes darme algunos consejos para solucionar esto?
