    Ok with no SataPortMap ?

    We have detected errors on the hard 1,2,4 drives and the SATA ports have also been disabled.

    Please shut down your DS3617xs to replace or remove the hard drives and try again.

    Can't I physically point to SataportMap = 1 leaving only one SSD or HDD? Do you happen to have a Sata CD-ROM drive?

    on these settings, no hdd found. there is a sata odd connected.

    i've tried

    SataPortMap=1 and DiskIdsMap=00

    SataPortMap=1 and DiskIdsMap=01

    SataPortMap=1 and DiskIdsMap=02

    SataPortMap=4 and DiskIdsMap=00

    SataPortMap=3 and DiskIdsMap=00

    SataPortMap=2 and DiskIdsMap=04

    SataPortMap=3 and DiskIdsMap=00

    no hdd found

    It would be impossible to turn on the hot plug of Sata Port, right?

    Also, are you trying with DSM 7.0.1 TinyCore?

    Dont have hotplug in bios settings. satamap now finds SataPortMap=5 and DiskIdsMap=00  but message says errors on hdd 1,2,4

  9. Hello,

    I have a ASUS X550J laptop and can't figure out sata map. It has 2 sata ports, one for hdd and one for odd, but the lspci says it has a 6-port sata controller.

    The pic bellow is with sataportmap=6 and diskidxmap=00. If I set sataportmap=2 and diskidxmap=00 it says no hdd found. Any ideea? Thanks

    @Peter Suh and @loveburn They succeeded...

    I hope someone gonna shared ds918p_42661.pat decrypted

    I just did it like 30 min ago by running  ./rploader.sh build apollolake-7.1.0-42661 and it decrypted fine.

    If someone have one ds918p_42661.pat working it's possible to share please?

    Thanks in advance!!

    Download from Synology DS918+. I think it has to be the original one when you update from manual DSM update. That's how I did it. I've tried to use the cached one but didn't work.

    Tried with broadwellnk-DS3622 same issue. Another ideea ? I will try with broadwell.

    Have you tried

    "SataPortMap": "1",
    "DiskIdxMap": "02"

    sata controller might start from 02 if it shows sdb and sdd on fdisk -l

    then you could try

    "SataPortMap": "2",
    "DiskIdxMap": "02"

    to be able to see both disks

    Then I should have it. I will try a build. I have the latest from git. I just build bromolow but with serialgen 3622xs, right ?

    apollolake-DS918

    bromolow-DS3615

    broadwell-DS3617
    broadwellnk-DS3622

    To our knowledge the absolute max is 26 as DSM doesn't support /dev/sdaa /dev/sdab /dev/sdac etc. naming. Since there's only 26 letters you can only use 26 disks. Their eboxes work differently and that's how on a real DS you can get >26 drives.

    Maybe is not related but this is how DSM is showing drives on the second controller on my bare metal ASRock N3700 and is working fine.
